| Deleted User | I am not opposed to adding another forum area, however, I agree with Dimi and Judyann that it is unnecessary. Many threads are uncontroversial until answers start rolling in.
If there is to be another forum area, I like Scout's idea of the name, Thunder Dome.

I do think that it would be hard to anticipate which topics will become controversial...often the title of the thread seems quite innocuous, and then I notice 5 pages of responses..

oh and by the [s]wya\\[/s]..(.ahhh I'm so used to the UNIX machines in lab that I keep hitting blackslash instead of backspace since the backspace key is where the blackslash key is on a nonunix keyboard.) what I was going to say was that I had my bio midterm yesterday, and the professor graded it already and I got an A. Now I just gotta finish my lab (the last part of this homework is to make a handcoded topdown parser; I finished the other parts of the homework last night), my art paper, and study for math quiz....

I think you're missing the point. For some people, the Flame Forum (whatever it ends up being called) is going to be the first place they look when they check in at JA. Don't you know that reading supposedly adult peoples' flames to each other is a form of sublime recreation? Putting the best ones all in one place simply makes things convenient.
