I'm really satisfied with the answers most people are giving. It is so cool to know that there are so many pure adventure players out there!

SirDave, stooge4444, gatorlaw, jamarchand, Belinda48, gamergal and all the others that support traditional adventures...you rock people. Let's show the developers what we really want.

Deleted UserI tend to stick to adventure games - not so much by choice as by necessity.  I have two problems with action:

1.  My hand/eye coordination is not that great.

2.  I do my best when I can have a moment to think about what I am doing.  I am not a good action/fast reaction person.

I have American McGee's Alice and will probably play it soon.   It looks so great that I have to give it a try.

Deleted UserADVENTURE gaming is when you do not carry a weapon, don't have to look over your shoulder for "monstors" and the only reason you save constantly is because of the intricate "puzzles", not because you are going to DIE.

Don't hold back, Janelle, tell us how you really feel.

I'm just teasing.  I love seeing people who are passionate about adventures! Welcome to the JA forums, by the way

aaahaaaa....here comes the exception to the rule...
remember in "the quivering" when you are in that damned wine cellar maze and you have a shot gun to kill the menacing, lurking zombies?

"the quivering" was great and ALL adventure...

although i tend agree with jenny:
"Action" or "timed" sequences added to an adventure game are often a pain in the butt.

i play to relax...no stress please....
*she says as she ponders when to play her newly aquired "nocturne"*

still gaming...
