For example, I was publicly ridiculed the other day for saying: 'I want to attend that meeting, too, so I can get a feel out of it."

Groan. I just wanted to curl up and smell the music.

Back on topic....I think the forum gives the impression that it is dying everytime Caroline has to study or write a paper.  The new posts count drops by at least 50% per day.

Too funny.  I already knew most librarians could walk on water.  It's only a few, though, that can walk on thin water, lol.

Oh yes, now it's on.  Hey Aya, will you be my wingman?  8-)

So Temujin is the best game ever.  If that doesn't draw the villagers with torches, what will?

What?  You really think so?  I just got tired of the CD swapping in Dark Side and could never get into it.  I liked Temujin's setting better too and being a lover of history, it fit the bill for me.  [smiley=thumbs.gif]

I had the same issues with the CD swapping in DSOTM, but then I invested in the shiny new DVD version . . . much better.

My issues with Temujin weren't setting or story - it was the buggy interface and poor acting.  I thought that South Peak did a great job in reworking that interface for DSOTM.

Oh, I get it, it's another one of those "This forum is dying posts" sort of the like the adventure game is dead remark that must be included in every game magazine adventure game review

Seriously though, every forum has good days and bad days.  I think JA forum has done a good job of creating a community that engages and mostly thoughtful discussions and I would much rather have only 4 people here a day who post insightful or thoughtful remarks than 400 idiots like crapstorm with nasty attitudes or 100 members  - like I've seen at some other adventure forums - who sit on the forum all day and do nothing but post smiley faces or other such inanity on every post just to raise their post count.

And then, of course, there's the thoughtful and engaging saga of Borisville and the midgets (and the monkey and the dancers and the chocolate..)

There's chocolate in Borisville?
I thought Terry used it all up on those wild hot chocolate fondues that ended up with everyone skinny dipping in the pool.....

.... not that I was there, you understand.  [smiley=angel_smiley.gif]    oh no....   Lady K told me the next day when I helped her search Terry's hotel room for her clothes.....  fairly wrecked it was..... chocolate on the walls....

I told you the monkey stole my clothes while I was taking a shower after I slipped and fell on that spilled fondue.  [smiley=whistle.gif]

Yeah it was just an innocent chocolate-related accident, that's the ticket and besides, why the heck were you poking around my private hotel suite anyway Caroline?

- cheap post-count-upping messages still even -

You're ugly and your momma dresses you funny.

Myst r00lz!

[smiley=toppieplus.gif]

(Come to think of it, I have no idea what "toppie plus" actually means...)

Sorry. Once a year I have to flush this stuff out of the sewer of my brain.

So... I avoid the "hot" forum for months to recover, and THIS is what it's come to?

(*sigh*)

Meanwhile, you all smell funny.  Flame THAT.   [smiley=furious.gif]

(p.s.  what DOES "Toppie" mean?)
