Dear Sir or Madam,

My name is Michael Bright, and I'm a PR & Web Assistant for Phoenix Online Studios, a fan-group currently making the game "The Silver Lining". This game is a fan-game based on the "King's Quest" series and is being developed with the permission of Vivendi Universal as well as the blessing of Sierra founders Ken and Roberta Williams.

I would like to create a post on the forums inviting your readers to visit our new site, however I am not sure if this would be considered SPAM or not under forum rules. Could you please clarify this matter for me?

Yours sincerely,

Michael A. Bright
PR & Web Assistant

Another member asked the same thing via PM. As a couple of other developers have posted a thread about their games on the Adventure Discussion forum, that seems like the best place. Actually, if I remember correctly, members of your team have posted about this game on this form as well.

We can be heroes, just for one day.

Isn't Petter Holmberg part of the Silver Lining team? He's a fairly regular poster here already.

I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by.

Yes, Petter is part of our team. I was aware that others from the project had posted here already, but I thought my post might be considered more of an advertisement than their posts, so I thought I'd ask permission first.

Hang on a minute.... don't the forum rules specify somewhere that you have to be a bit 'odd' to be a proper member here?   No?  Are you sure?  .... no wonder I don't feel like I fit in..... [smiley=zombie.gif]
