Weston, CT – June 13, 2006 - Got Game Entertainment LLC today announced a North American publishing deal for “Barrow Hill: Curse of the Ancient Circle”. Developers Shadow Tor Studios bring the eerie Cornish landscape to life in this haunting mystery adventure game for the PC, just released in Europe under the title “Barrow Hill”. With only one night to unravel a sinister story using real archaeological techniques, you will experience the powerful mystic forces of an ancient burial ground known locally as Barrow Hill. “Barrow Hill: Curse of the Ancient Circle” is scheduled for release August 2006 and will retail for $19.99 (USD). The game is not yet rated by the ESRB.
In “Barrow Hill: Curse of the Ancient Circle”, a detailed and spellbinding story and organic puzzles woven through the very fabric of Barrow Hill lead you to explore well trodden pathways across the land, seek clues in almost forgotten shrines, unearth ancient artifacts, and delve into the Celtic legends which haunt the green lanes of the hill.
“Unlike any other game before it, ‘Barrow Hill: Curse of the Ancient Circle’ offers players the opportunity to get beneath the surface of archaeology,” said Got Game President Howard Horowitz. “Shadow Tor has done a great job of combining archeology and adventure, but without all that dirt.”
Cornwall, the setting for this supernatural adventure game, boasts itself as the home of sorcerers, ancient kings and mythological characters. From the piskie folk of the hedgerows and cliff tops to the beasts of Bodmin Moor, there isn't a corner of England's most western county that isn't rich in folklore, magic and danger.
