So far, I like the graphics style - very fitting. And some of the dialogues are pretty funny and surprisingly long, I'll have to pay them more attention when I go back to play. :
I'm a little disappointed with music so far. The website has some nice music samples but it doesn't seem like there's much music in the demo. Maybe it's a problem with my computer? I haven't gotten far enough to judge the puzzles. The objectives are pretty clear, but not the way to achieve them. Yet.

I personally am not a great aficiando of music in computer games (although I'm a great music lover!). However, as far as I can tell, the music in Indy FoY is exceptionally good. Maybe there IS something amiss with your sound setup (or the AGS specs) ???
If you DO get too stuck ... just drop me a line (Put Indy FoY in the subject line so that I don't trash it with my usual amount of Hotmail spam) lengreen@hotmail.com

Status : Online | OK, finished it. It was quite long for a demo, with interesting locations. I found one game stopping bug - saw it reported on their forums afterwards, and another bug that was mostly my fault (accidentally deleted a saved game).
I liked the demo, the puzzles weren't very difficult - especially the one in the end, it had everything written down for you. Only problem is pixel hunting. I must've overlooked a certain item four times before picking it up. This is the main thing that got me stuck, luckily locations aren't big.
Another point where I got stuck [spoiler midtext]was getting to a certain location and not knowing that I should actually go to a different location - I worked so hard to get there, I was sure this was the next step! The demo has a few other red herrings, and at least one easter egg (cute).
The problem I had with the music was that it was too low. Turning it up didn't help much, I don't think this is my computer since most games play normally.

Status : Offline | Whilst I'm a BIG fan of IJ, I didn't finish the demo mainly because of the graphical resolution. On my Screen the 640x400 res looks extremely pixelated even when run in windowed mode (despite having selected smooth sprites). If I run the standard res then it becomes a postage stamp. If this was available on the PSP it would be great!

The graphics are meant to be like that - it's an Indy adventure using Indy technology of yesteryear. I for one thought the presentation was absolutely spot on. I also had next to no music when playing!

This is most certainly one amateur game that is up to any standard, commercial or otherwise. When they've solved one or two minor bugs. I hope enough people will donate a few dollars to pay for the (future) voiceacting by Doug Lee!

Can I ask what the easter egg was? Haven't found it.

Now THAT is odd.
Are they just desktop shortcuts to the save games and are the files still showing up in the proper folder? Also, what happens when you double click them? Does it launch the game and actually load that save point?
Cheers, Terry

Status : Offline | Thanks for the kind feedback!!!! Regarding the save games, there was a slight problem that was overlooked with our installer. If you run the game by clicking a DESKTOP SHORTCUT, it mucks up all the save-games.
The best option is to open the game folder and double click "foydemo.exe", or click on the START bar, SCREEN 7 and then PLAY DEMO. These errors will be fixed in an updated version of the demo, to be released fairly soon!
Thanks again, and I'm glad you're enjoying it!

Status : Online | Finished it an hour ago. I agree, a fun demo! Even without the music. :-/ I didn't try a lot to get the music running, though. The easteregg is cute, indeed.
The point I got stuck (slap-worthy): Spoiler Alert I missed the paper on the drunk nazi.
Looking forward to this.

Thanks! Went back and had a nice giggle. But you could have knocked me down with a feather when, after that, I finished the game for the second time and all of a sudden there was an extra long ending! Gamers who found the easter egg before solving the final puzzle, won't realize that of course.

Spoiler AlertNooo... I got the cave + the nazi guy the first time too, without the easter egg. But the second time, after the easter egg, I got switched back to the cave when that nazi bloke had delivered his speech.

EDIT: Just remembered that I got the shorter ending, I had to load from a saved game before the nazi camp.

And I got stuck on the same thing you did Elfstone. I wandered around for awhile before I found that.
One small quibble -- I hope the final game has keyboard shortcuts for the various commands.

| Deleted User | In the ordinary ending, the demo ends with the scene in the Nazi bunker. After the Easter Egg the identical scene in the Nazi bunker takes place, but is then followed by an amusing 'epilogue' in the cave! In both cases, the Credits roll after the 2 (different) endings.
In addition, and without any connection, there are TWO different (and mutually exclusive) methods of getting through the barrier? Did you play both of these methods ?

Naturally, I tried using some other tack rather than "fists" to deter that Nazi at the barrier. Wouldn't everyone who has played all the Indiana Jones games?

Yes Len. That's what I said, Len. So why repeat it.
And I put it in SPOILER TAGS. Why is it so hard for some posters here to remember to use SPOILER TAGS, so as not to SPOIL other people's fun? It seems like I am forever asking posters to use SPOILER TAGS. >

For instance, I think Elfstone's puzzle comment-spoiler is the clue I need to continue.

Darn installation options that end up being buggy. It's just so convenient to have a desktop shortcut. :
