I'll upload those pictures I took a week ago (I swear!) - I almost took one tonight of the stray cat, that's missing a foot, who comes to our house, but I decided to leave the poor cat alone. He comes and eats our food and then sits on the deck for bit, so he's doing fine. Well, considering. He's a tuxedo cat, so just imagine a black & white cat that doesn't have a white foot at the end of his front right leg, and you'll get the idea. I just looked out the window and he's settled down with both legs curled underneath, so you wouldn't be able to see anything, anyway. 8-)
Bring on the pictures! :-*

A photo I took from Halloween, 2004.... I love it.

Aw indeed.
The last Christmas my ex-wife and I spent together, I bought her a replacement for her beloved cat of many years who had finally succumbed to old age. It was a pure-bred, female, gray tabby Scottish Fold kitten of championship descent identical to that pic.
Cute as can be, she cost a bloody fortune and as genuinely appreciated as she was, failed to save our ailing marriage.
Cheers, Terry

Nope, I already checked it twice and both the image tags are still there in the message preview exactly as copied by the forum's quote function from Mark's last post at the bottom of page one of this thread. But the copied image link simply won't work. Odd but true.
Cheers, Terry
P.S.
I was able to manually move the image link outside the quotes though and now at least it shows up.

Status : Offline | Hm! I wonder why the image tags for my link won't work within a quote box. Must be something to do with Earthlink, my ISP.
Anyway...Caroline, couldn't you just go back a page?
I remember the dial-up days when I would curse the poster that quoted someone that had put in a 204,533kb image in their original post. Why do we need to see it again?
'course, both images would load at the same time, but I don't understand why someone needs to "quote" an image.
Oh, well. Doesn't matter.
Was it a sweet cat, Terry? If not, I hope the ex took it.

Actually yes Mark she was a very sweet kitten and super smart - so well behaved too. I swear she never once had to be shown the litter box, never once scratched the furniture and was quiet and cuddly as could be. Within just a few weeks, she would perch like a sentry on a particular window sill overlooking the driveway just before we normally got home from work and be waiting for us at the front door by the time we walked that twenty feet or so.
At first we thought it was a coincidence and that she was just sunning in the same spot every workday, then reacting to the familiar sound of footsteps and jangling keys approaching the front door. But one day shortly after that, I was working at home in my studio. The cat was curled up at my feet and just before 6 PM, she got up, walked down the hall into the kitchen, perched on the same sill and started peering out the window right at the place were my wife always parked her car. The second she pulled up, the cat then darted around the corner to the front foyer and was waiting for her as the door opened. Stranger still was the fact that I had already fed her late that day and she was not just looking for food. She was welcoming her new mommy home.
BTW, of course my wife got the cat when we finally went our separate ways. She was a after all Christmas gift from the heart and not a piece of joint property to be battled over in divorce court.
Cheers, Terry
