Nice, positive preview KB. Can't wait to play the demo and first episode.
BTW, the article doesn't mention the name of your one-person studio and the bottom left screenshot is displaying as a broken link / red x on my browser (the latest version of IE using WinXP Home).
Also, assuming that you will be using a web-based distribution model, have you already made arrangements for one or more sites to download the initial episode and for online sales of future installments?
Cheers, Terry

Having talked to the developer, the official site is not ready yet, but it should be up pretty soon, hence I couldn't give you a link to it

As Ugur said (hi Ugur), I haven't set up a webpage yet. For the purpouses of the demo I will be using a hosted site on Adventure developers (small updates, wallpapers, downloads).
When the 1st episode arrives, I am hoping that a company website will be up and running. However, as I don't know NOTHING about html and all the applets and what-nots, I will need serious help setting up the "store/download" part of the website. Its not something that I gave much thought to, as I am concentrated on finishing the demo and the 1st part as soon as possible.
The name of my company/website is still something I gave little thought, but last night Blue Bull Productions came to mind, but I don't think its catchy enough.
What sweet worries do I have =).
Cheers, and thanks for reading the interview.

That's good advice.
As a fledgling one-person shop with virtually no experience in creating and running a full-featured commerical web site, you really should not try to reinvent the wheel. Instead, rely on a well-tested, well-known, readily available online sales / transaction model like PayPal.
And, since you will only have a single product line at first, there is no need for a shopping cart, database, internal search engine or any other advanced user features. All you really need is a nicely designed home page with a handful of easy-to-navigate, always visible nav buttons to additional pages for the most basic informational / technical sections plus an e-mail link and of course the option to download and pay for episodes.
You might also want to consider adding a simple forum so that technical issues and other topics directly related to your game can be openly discussed by users. This sometimes serves as a very useful source of customer feedback and you can control it as tightly or as loosely as you see fit. It can help to augment a static, unmoderated tech support FAQ section for dealing with problems that can only be identified after a game is released to the general public. It can also serve as a ready-made, qualified research source for direct (registered) user input on possible future episodes and new titles.
Cheers, Terry
