Before I got my current computer a couple weeks ago, I was running WinXP SP2 under a 400Mhz P1 with 320MB of RAM. Seeing as your grandma ain't likely to be burning CD's or playing FPS's, with what you've got, she'd be fine with XP on that computer.

My mother-in-law was given a VCR 10 years ago.  My kids use it - she simply misses programs if they clash.    She hadn't even learnt how to switch on the TV.  We had to show her how the gadget worked when she was widowed.  See..... men do have some uses, afterall.
