Status : Online | I haven't seen any myself. The game should adapt to your level and switch to "Beginner" mode if you have trouble in the early part of the game; you might wish to change the level yourself and see if it helps. I assume here that you have trouble with a big chunk of the game; this assumption is likely incorrect.
If you want some help, please indicate where exactly you are stuck. The first scene should be straightforward enough, but I've ran into a bug early on (with the graphical interpreter, not the game itself). Basically, you might find yourself unable to type commands and it might look as though the game was over. However, it isn't, and I don't think you can lose at all. Does that sound familiar?

Status : Online | That was exactly what I had in mind. This is *supposed* to happen in the game (unless you somehow get a "Game Over" message). Emily Short on the game page says the following about interpreters:
"If you are having trouble with pauses not responding to keyboard input, and you're using WinGlulxe, try clicking in the graphics panel to restore focus to the game. (It should work even when the graphics panel is dark.) This is acknowledged to be a pain, and will be fixed in the next version. Other interpreters do not to the best of my knowledge display this bug."
So, you should try the above to "regain" control of the game, or perhaps try another interpeter.
