I bought a certain DVD Boxed set today that has 3 "double-sided" discs. Each disc has a yellow ring around the middle saying "ISC X, SIDE A" and then a smaller circle around the very middle saying "ISC X, SIDE B."
How does one get to Side B?!? Does the other side of each disc have "SIDE A" in the middle? If so, I'd think that one side is A and the other is B, and they just have some weird way of saying that.
Trial and error should help here.

| Deleted User | If you have problems telling which side is which, here's a handy trick: Pick up the disc from the tray the side it is currently oriented and remember that orientation. Then flip the disc 180 degrees around any axis in the horizontal plane, just once. Congratulations, you are now looking at the other side! Another flip takes you back to the side where you started. Write this down on a note to remember and tell all your friends.

And I can't get my mind around it.
What the hell kind of freaky DVD did you buy??

Don't be cheeky! :
What I mean is, I want to watch Side A of a DVD. Should the side labelled SIDE A face upwards or downwards inside the machine?

You have gotten the attention of the mysterious lady. She turns to face you. Her face is devoid of any flesh. You are frozen with horror as she begins ripping your body into a bloody mess.

That's what confused me. Because a record needle goes on the top of the record, and the laser reflects off the bottom of the DVD.
As for Side 3, obviously that's around the edge. It's a very very short video clip

Maybe that's where the U.S. government stores all of their top-secret U.F.O. information that they don't want us to know anything about! All of this time, right in front of our noses. Actually, no. They store it in the Library of Congress under the heading "Top-Secret U.F.O. information that we don't want anyone to know about". Definitely the last place anyone would look.

Now that's really mean!
Here's the really answer (listen closely- if you screw it up, you will make the Dvd unwatchable): First, insert the Dvd exactly as it was placed in the Dvd case when you bought it- you are playing Side A. Now once you are finished playing Side A (and make very sure you are finished Side A because you won't be able to watch again after the following step!). Now insert a razor blade under and fully around the yellow circle working carefully outward towards the outside of the Dvd until you have lifted off what is the first layer of this dual layer, double sided disk. Be sure to lift off the layer evenly as that will now expose the 2nd layer which is Side B. Enjoy!

The future ain't what it used to be!

O.O
...... Whoever made that disk is a bleeding psychopath.

| Deleted User | If you miss the record flipping of the good old vinyl days, you can take your favorite album on CD, burn half of the tracks on two different CD-R discs and glue the two together. Even better, if you live with someone who own two albums that you really hate, you can glue them together too. Just apply the glue on the opposite sides!

Dyslexics wonder why there isn't a word that means the same thing as "cinnamon."
