Status : Online		hi,  i'm completely new to IF so I started something that's been recommended for beginners.  Have thus far really enjoyed the game but i've been walking around for a while now...












SPOILER

I've found moon court and the temple/3 sisters courtyard but CAN'T do anything further.  The game won't let me sleep either, which had previously done something to advance the plot.  All it says in my summary (part 3) is that I still haven't found Evaine, I'm looking for her with a pendant on and I keep overhearing conversations at the temple (though I haven't heard anything!!! - just walking to all the locations to see if i've forgotten anything).  I've seen the illusion show but didn't get to talk to performer.  

Any hints/help will be GREATLY appreciated.

Status : Online		Well, it's a late answer, so I'll keep it short. Please reply if you are still reading this thread, and I'll try to get more information (that is, replay the game).

I've been stuck at the same exact spot as you did; consequently, I have trouble remembering *how* exactly I solved the problem. You are supposed to be accompanied by someone else to find Evaine, so you should look for someone (in the complex, if memory serves... but where, I'm not sure exactly). Have you visited the place with boxes (NW or NE from the entrance of the courtyard)? If not, I think it was where I managed to advance the plot.

Status : Online		hi, thanks SO MUCH for replying to my post.  Yes, i am still stuck (i have actually left it aside for awhile now).

i got to the boxes bit and found moon court but can't do anything there.  can't open the south door (locked?)  and can't do anything with the ivy-overgrown north wall.
I also met someone earlier in the courtyard but he's been captured!!!  do i need to rescue him or something?

would be grateful for any help.
