Which do you prefer most?  Taking a shower or a bath.  I like showers.

Showers are more practical and start the day just great, but a bath - to do it properly one needs smelly stuff for the water, a pillow for the head and time - lots of time.....

ditto...

My goal in life is to be as good of a person as  my dog already thinks I am.&&&&The measure of civility in a society is not how it treats those that are loved, but how it treats those that are hated.

I prefer showers too.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, wine in the other screaming, "WOO HOO what a ride!!!

I prefer a shower - it gives me a chance to wash my hair and the rest of me at the same time.  Problem I have with a bath is sitting in all that dirty water [smiley=eww.gif]

I guess how dirty you are depends on how long it's been since your last wash....?
But you're right.  You can't wash your hair in the bath.  Baths are for washing little kids in.  I use a bath for medicinal purposes - relaxation.

Me too, especially on a cold winter night, nothing warms you up better, but I usually ( not always ) also rinse off with the shower when Im done. But I mainly shower.

I shower to get clean, and I probably prefer it. Baths are great after a long run, but you can't have them hot, or you have to wait a few hours until you can.

I'm a firm believer in the relaxational powers of the properly executed bath routine (candles, scented bubbles, a good book, pillow ), at least once a week. Otherwise a shower always starts my day.

The person that built our house had the brilliant idea of making a bathtub out of cast iron.  That means the water goes cold in about 20 seconds.

Showers all the way for me.
...not to be confused with Keira Knightley

Definitely a shower for me!! Who wants to sit in the filth you just washed off? Then ya need another bath! Hot shower, nice and long, with the shower head turned to "Massage" until ALL the hot water is gone!!!!

However, If I had one of those huge, fancy, jacuzzi type tubs, ( which i do not ) that would be a different story....

Well I guess it would depends on how dirty you are,
When I take a nice hot bath its usually because I just want to warm up and relax, like Colpet said, a good book and a bath pillow, ahhhhhhh. nothing like it on a cold winter evening.
But to start the day a shower is preferable.

Deleted UserI shower daily, as a rule.

But I love a good bath. The bath, to me, isn't an alternative to the daily and quick shower. It's something of a weekend spiritual ritual.

I don't view the bath is merely a place to cleanse. To me, it's a place to chill and meditate, read something, take my time.

The shower is for the work-day morning, or any day I'm pressed for time. Latelym, that's been every day.

I have a nice Japanese bathtub. It's short, at ~4 feet, but it's also ~3-4 feet deep. It's a soaking tub. Aw, so nice...

I prefer to roll around in a pit of maggots, I find it cleans me up ever so nicely.

But if those aren't available, I'll go for a hot, bubbly bath.

I like showers because i can get over with it way faster - when i'm in a hurry.
If i have time i don't mind laying in the bath amongs all those bubbles... I should try having a bath with roses in my bath-tub (like in American Beauty)
