Looking at this week's offerings, I think my chance for a perfect week has passed me by. [sigh] Excuse me while I go bite the sofa awhile.

Well, he's just an Adventure Gamer from Italy. (btw... hi everybody )
I'm not a regular here on JA, but I'm really enjoying the Phoenix Trivia (great work, Aya!), even though I've never played - or even heard of - many of these games (I'm not too fond of modern AGs and I've missed many "classics" of the past).
Knowing that the 5th position is too far away for me, I hope I can mantain my sixth place. It will be tough, but I'll do my best to repel Wimli's attacks (Stefana isn't jocking too.)

i guess the top 5 is more or less set... there is still mathematical hope for you, but it would be really hard (plus, i don't think that shany would not defend herself!)... on the other hand, places 6-10 are obviously going to be determined on the last minute!
btw, there are several players from italy (more than you think!)... i wonder how come we don't have any italian forum members

Welcome to the forum Ragfox! And don't worry about me taking up the sixth spot in the rankings. Aya's doing a pretty good job picking out the games I don't know or recognize. I think it's Stefana you should be worried about more, she already has as many points as I do. I won't be able to hold her back for much longer. She has her eyes set on that sixth spot of yours.

now let's see if lady k can make it too! she needs 11.5 pts, so it's gonna be tough - but not impossible... for the record, her personal high is 11.5 on week 6! also, this is the 2nd week in a row she scores the most pts! 8-)
also, elfstone broke his 50smth "consitancy" by breaking the 60 barrier! 8-) too bad jerry isn't playing... it would be interesting to see if they'd finish hand-in-hand again!

Lol, I thought these last two weeks were already as hard as it would get! Week 12 was really tough! Not only tough games, but tough shots too. I know the general style of most of the games used last week, but no way would I have guessed QfG 5 (shot looked like a comedy or parody game), Ripper (looked like a complex Myst-clone like puzzle) or Innocent Until Caught (what the hell is this prehistoric beast doing in a futuristic game) from those shots :. I've never been so off the mark that much before. Nice job Aya! And congrats to Lady Kestrel: 8/10 this week, that's amazing! 8-)
Oh well, on to the last week. Looking at it, it'll be very difficult to hold on to my 7th spot. Here's hoping some wild guessing may be spot on!

Unless a miracle happens, I will be hard put to break 100. Kudos to Papabrody and our discordant Bastich for doing so! [smiley=bowdown.gif]
Wim, I kept thinking the Quest for Glory shot was an older game with a carnival or circus, so I was off track there, but The White Chamber had me completely fooled. I focused on cartoon comedies and not blood and guts. That was one of Aya's sneakiest, I think.
Shany, I look forward to seeing you over at the MM tournament. I think you'll have a good time with all that we've prepared.

This week is tough! All my wild guesses were wrong so far, and I don't have an idea where to start looking... oh well.

I had this brilliant plan: I would play with an alias, so people wouldn't see my name beneath any Nancy Drew or Laura Bow pics and make a correct guess just b/c they saw my name beneath a pic. I would have gotten away with it, too, if it wasn't for [s]those meddling kids[/s] that sneaky Aya, who used a pic from LB1 and ND:GDML in week 1! Not only that, but I guessed the LB pic and missed the ND one.
Ha - but I got the last laugh later when a pic from LB2 appeared. No mooching off of me that week.

Lol, I know what you mean! For shot 5, I was thinking more of a comedy adventure, maybe even more a parody or something. I guess the QfG5 team knew how to bring variation into their game.
And for The White Chamber, I thought I had heard that title before. Isn't it that free anime horror adventure? Yet another weird shot then! I guess when Aya himself says it's a tough week, he really does mean business.

Come to think of it, I haven't seen Frank around for quite a while. I hope he's okay.
Speaking of tough weeks, this one is proving to be a bit of a slog for me as most of my inspirations have fallen rather flat so far.

Oh, and who is this Nik the Greek guy? Out of nowhere, he just nails 7/10 shots. Now that's seriously going to shake up the bottom half of the top ten in the rankings!

Bring it on I'd say! Seems like I'll end up in the same old 8th place again this time round, so no matter what you throw at me, or how well the rest performs, that place will always be mine.

Status : Offline | This was a difficult week, although my personal worst was week 9. I didn't come close with any of the six I missed this week. I figured you might use Scratches, Aya, but didn't associate it with what looked like a stone horse's head. Jack French is a new one on me, but it's nice to know that it's a Flash game I'll be able to play on my Mac.
Congratulations, Bastich, on your usual outstanding performance! Now you have to start making more games for us since you know too many to play anymore.
Papabrody, It has been a pleasure to be beaten once more by you, but just wait until next time.
Congratulations, too, to Ragfox for winning the luck of the draw. [smiley=thumbs.gif]
Thank you very much for a fantastically frustrating but fun tournament, Aya! The phoenix truly did arise for the occasion. [smiley=clap.gif]

Thank you, again, Aya...it was fun and torture at the same time, as usual.
