Status : Offline | Which do you mean? After the actual close of a poll? (there's no way to change your vote then) Or do you mean that time thing where you can't change your vote on an open poll after a certain period of time?
Ok. I just started a test poll to see what the options are. There is an option about how many minutes the poll creator allows voters to have to delete their vote. The poll creator could put in a large number of minutes (like a couple of years worth of minutes) and that would allow people to delete their initial vote and enter a new one. Would that solve the issue?

Status : Online | I mean for open polls... like the member ratings. Because, for example, I just played Syberia 2, and would like to change my vote in that poll from "Havne't played" to a number-ranking... but I can't because the poll is "closed." For this Member ranking area, this closed-poll system doesn't help the forum do what it's supposed to do, which is to be an ongoing and flexible resource for forum members to take part in.
Make sense?

Status : Offline | Why do those polls get closed if people will need to keep voting later? They could be left open. Just checked my test poll and there are "lock" (close) and "open" options. If the poll creator has not locked the poll and has put in a large amount of minutes for delete/change vote time, then you can delete your old vote and enter a new one.

Status : Online | That's great... but it seems like all the "member ranking" polls are now closed, unfortunately.... they were created under the old system, before there was a "time limit"... I guess these options were not available at the time?

Status : Offline | I don't remember what the old forum poll options were. I don't think I ever did a poll there and don't remember anyone mentioning this issue.
However, just checked and I can modify all the Member Ratings polls and add the time thing if you all want me to. The creators of the polls surely wouldn't mind I guess so, Avatar, if you give me the word, I will modify each of those polls and add the time thing. If you want me to do it, what number of years in minutes do you want them to have? 2 years? more?

[edit]It's taking forever right now! I did 2 and will do more when it's faster. [/edit]

Status : Offline | You are all very welcome. I just wish there was a quick way to make this change. Actually, the owners/creators of each poll can add the time in minutes to allow deletes as well. So if you started a poll and want to leave it open for changing votes for 5 years, click "modify", enter this amount in place of the zero: 2628000. It would certainly make it go faster.
