as for the post counts, just like the old days, when the top was at 500 posts, too many ppl were gathering up in the highest ranks, so the limits got buffed up a bit!
EVERYONE needs to read the forum upgrade post in the forum news for more details about the upgrade!

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, wine in the other screaming, "WOO HOO what a ride!!!

The blue frame color is even slighty pale. But I don't mind.
I like the new smileys aswell. The fonts are a bit smaller but it's fine. Wow. So JA has upgraded post counts.

Status : Offline | okay. I've adjusted my display settings to what Aya said and the print I'm looking at is TINY. no, make that ..... okay..... where's the icon for making text diddy? * big sigh......* I'm far too visually impaired and ancient to be this adaptable.
and my comment about it looking like AG was simply that there are little boxes and pictures and new things everywhere......
I need a map..... and a magnifying glass......

Okay. in a nutshell, I've changed the settings on my pc to 1024x768 and the text I'm now looking at is smaller than Mark's mumbling blue face usually uses.
Help! I simply can't go on like this. Somebody please solve this for me!
Oh and I do like the function of seeing an entire thread, although it's really odd having the order reversed, but more convenient too.

[edit]Actually, I just tried it in IE and it only works in the Forum home page not the threads.[/edit]

Status : Online | OK. Here's what you have to do for Internet Explorer
Tools > Internet Options > Choose the "General" tab Click the "Accessibility button Put a tick in the box next to "Ignore font sizes specified on Web pages" Click OK Click OK
Now you should be able to resize the fonts according to the instructions (either using the menu or the Ctrl-scroll wheel)
[It's because the style sheets specify font sizes in a specific number of pixels (bad practice! [smiley=nono.gif]) so IE won't resize them unless you change this option.]

And now I'm looking at a different font, sort of like an old daisy wheel typewriter.... oh dear..... actually, I think this text is a bit smaller.....
Actually, I apologise. I just went and had another look and I see that I misread it and ticked the font styles instead of the font size..... I TOLD you it was tiny!
anyway, the ctrol+scroll now works - AMAZING...... oh goodness, I don't have have get new glasses after all.... muchos grazios... :-* :-*

The site is shaking up 'n down.
I am working with a resolution 1280 x 584.
Edit: I mean 1280 x 854

Status : Offline | Sir Funk,
quote from Aya in Off Topic regarding this issue:
there were 2 choices: optimize the forum to look descent for 800x600 but look kinda crappy on ALL other resolutions, or optimize it to look good on all other resolutions and do the jumpy thingy on 800x600... there are only very few sites left that support (or are made for) 800x600... so the remedy for that would be changing your windows resolution to 1024x768 or higher
I'm quoting because I couldn't have worded it better!
That's a strange screen resolution you have... is it for a particular purpose (for your work or something)?
[edit]Just re-read what you said about your resolution... explain what you are seeing please.[/edit]

And it's still not working properly.

I sent one message yesterday and this morning I wake up to find another little note telling me yet another older message had been deleted..... gosh, don't step over the lines, eh?
Oh dear..... I can see I shall have to learn tidier habits..... 8-)

It's not shifting side to side, but up 'n down.
