Everyone may know this already but I found it interesting:

What substance did they use for the blood in the shower scene of Psycho?

It was a black and white movie, so it didn't have to be anything but "dark" and "thick" - mmm mmm mmm...

I know, but let's see who else knows.

What?

Not coffee but it shares a couple of the same qualities as coffee plus at least one extra benefit.

Not milk. It's dark, not red, has a small amount of caffiene, and comes in many forms (in the case of Psycho - a liquid).

Oh, and I would love to dive into a big tub of it. But... I'm a weirdo.

You are correct, Michal! Chocolate syrup was used to simulate blood in the shower scene of Psycho.

didn't know that... but do you know what was used to produce the sound of the stabs?

You have gotten the attention of the mysterious lady. She turns to face you. Her face is devoid of any flesh. You are frozen with horror as she begins ripping your body into a bloody mess.

Heh, that caffeine thing tipped me off. I probably wouldn't know it - except a friend of mine is allergic to caffeine and I know that also includes chocolate!

Yes. Although the amount of caffeine in chocolate is miniscule compared to coffee. Something 6mg vs. 65mg. I'll have to look that up.
