| Deleted User | Whoa! Awesome stuff.
I loved DuckTales too. Much better quality than their later animated series. I've also been dreaming about having access to all the 100 episodes plus the movie with the Swedish dubs. I don't know if they think there's a big enough market for it here, but of course the recordings were made so it wouldn't be terribly expensive to make it happen.
The original voices are good too, and there's certainly a lot of gags that get lost in translation, but there's that emotional connection you have to a dub from a show you watched as a kid... A DVD set with double audio would be the ultimate situation. Let's keep up our hopes!

There was a Swedish name list in favor of a DVD release, it wasn't search indexed or anything but still managed to get 5000 names. It doesn't appear very serious and I don't know wheter the question was about a release with the Swedish voices or not though. www.ducktalesdvd.webb.se

Exactly! I don't usually like Swedish dubs, but this one has really high quality. Actually the first season (which just was released in US) which was aired only on TV3 didn't have as high quality as the later seasons, aired on "isneydags"/"isneyklubben" if you ask me, but maybe that's because I saw the second season first. Nothing compares to the Swedish Beage Boys voices.

Anyway, since this would be cathegorized a release for children they would surely use dubs if a Swedish release became a reality. Unless there are copyright issues with the company who did the dubbing or something. But there were a few episodes released on VHS, with the Swedish dubs, many years ago so it's been sort of done previously. In the end, maybe Disney owns the dubs too.

I'm sure of it too (that a Swedish release would be dubbed), but I don't think there'll be any Swedish release any soon. If Disney/Buena Vista won't release it I'm sure there'll be some pirate version abalible for download with the Swedish dub from old vhs-tapes. But a Disney release would definitely be preferrable.
Anyone else watched a dubbed version? I've read that the Dutch version is suppose to be good aswell... Betje? .. Anyone?
