I have not played the whole game yet, so I can't say how many hours it will last. But the demo is only a tiny fraction of the full game!

| Deleted User | It's not the quantity that counts, but the quality!
I prefer 5 perfect adventure experience hours, then 15 not-so-perfect adventure experience hours.
So one cd CAN be enough for me.

And hey, think of games like Gabriel Knight 1: huge games that came on 1 CD!  isk space doesn't mean anything.

The demo contained a lot of graphically detailed rooms, which takes up space, but only one puzzle. I guess that in the real game we'll go back and forth in those rooms solving many puzzles, but also in the basement, the 2nd floor and outside.

You have gotten the attention of the mysterious lady. She turns to face you. Her face is devoid of any flesh. You are frozen with horror as she begins ripping your body into a bloody mess.

Yikes! I obviously play games at Turtle speed. It took me a lot longer than 10 minutes but then I did click on everything and read every page of the diary and then clicked on everything again until I finally found the key.
Boy, usman, if I gave you my demo you's probably have it all done in 30 seconds flat

But then again, double-technically - cause we are in England - it's first story, second story...
However, there is something like a third floor...

Crap. I knew I made a mistake somewhere...and such a big one! : I always wondered why those two words are spelled the same way and guess what, they are not! Duh.
(But I try to get rid of as much British English as possible so it's not that bad )

Status : Offline | Spoiler Alert... * * * * * 1) I have/found four keys - including the car keys. None of them open the basement door or the garage.
2) One can re-insert the car keys back into the cars ignition, but cannot remove the car keys once re-inserted. I was going to do a Grand Theft Auto on the chained and locked garage doors, but that didn't happen. None of the keys fit the chained garage doors.
3) I had severe lockups exiting the front door, but this was remedied by turning down the video and audio acceleration a notch or two on my respective cards.
4) Mailbox has been checked several times; letters and journals have been read. Pixel-searched every square inch of the screen many times. Playing in 360-degree mode.
5) I wanna go to the basement. I have found the key from the photograph that fell into the pot.
6) The more I try combining of items with items - the more often the computer freezes and I get video stutter as well. No BSOD, though - just lock-ups.
Intel chipset with latest BIOS flash, Pentium IV 3.4 GHz, BFG nVidia GeForce 6800 Ultra, Windows XP Professional w/ SP 2. No overheating problems.
Any help I may offer, please let me know - and vice-versa. I want to get to the end of this demo, please.
Otherwise - beautiful game, and thank you.
Please proofread your posts carefully to see if you any words out.

That's the key you need. This might sound stupid, but have you tried using it on the lock rather than just the door?
Otherwise, I guess you've found a bug.

Status : Online | I had a couple of strange occurrences when I was replaying the demo the other day.
I wanted to check on which action triggered finding the key. Initially I thought it might be opening the curtains - you see, when the curtains are open there is more light in that corner so I (the game character) would be able to see into the bottom of the pot better - seemed logical to me [smiley=shrug.gif]
Anyway, twice when I opened a door (different door both time), handle on the bottom corner of the screen, the view did a complete 360 before settling on the view of the door then opening it. I tried a number of times to try and reproduce the effect but was unable to make it happen on demand.
Not really a bug I don't think but a bit of a surprise when it happened . I was playing in the panorama option BTW.

I imagine it's caused by some numeric values confusing the engine which way to turn. It's hard to get rid of and seems to rear its ugly head every time we thought it's gone for good.

Skye Wrong. It IS a bug. A nasty one.

Status : Online | Hello,
Me again. I have one comment about the text that accompanies the demo that I find a little bit strange (no one else seems to have been bothered by it . . . . .)
I have noticed that when I attempt to open a door that is locked, the text message tells me that the door was locked and when examining some of the items in the room the "past" tense has been used (as in 'It was just some useless junk')
In my opinion, I would have thought that the text comments on the status of doors/drawers and the value of items in the house would have been phrased in the "present" tense . As in 'The door is locked', 'It is just some useless junk'
Anyone else feel that way or is it just me?
