I'm surprised, jamarchand, because there were quite a few puzzles in there that you could solve by accident and I seem to remember you had a thread in which you ranted about such trial-and-error-solvable puzzles.

I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by.

Status : Online | I played it when I bought the Zork Anthology. That was quite a while ago (7 years or longer?) and I don't remember much of this except a laboratory with a model of the planets, symbol puzzle in relation to this, a fountain, a few cut-scenes (barely) and I think the ending. I forgot enough to give this another try in the near future (after I replayed Schnibble and Discworld).

You'll really need an older computer to play it.. on my 3 year old computer the game scrolls at lightning speed. No fix for it that I've found.

Couldn't agree more - I recall the first few hours of Scratches having the same feeling (movement and atmosphere wise). It was a bit difficult to replay on XP, but none the less could be done. Maybe I'll fire it up on one of my VPC images.

I dare say yes, especially since (IMHO) it's one of the best adventure games ever made. I think anyone here will agree.

Sounds....interesting. Return to Zork always felt pretty dark (especially compared to GI) so I probably wouldn't mind the apparent change of pace.

I played it back in the old days, before walkthroughs were at your fingertips. Had to solve on my own. I only wish they would fix it for Vista, have tried the 'fixes' available on the web but nothing slows down that cursor, anyone comes up with a fix, please post here.
