The puzzles weren't bad, they just weren't very interesting or funny. Some were just tedious (I seriously thought I had a bug with getting the monkey to follow me, and throwing the rocks got old really fast.)
The character designs could've been better, and I don't even want to talk about the keyboard control.
A bad game, I gave it a 5.

Gave it a 6 as well.
Although colorful with fun settings, familiar characters, solid voice acting and some good puzzles, there were also numerous problems and the humor fell flat compared to the beloved originals.
I had no problems at all with the newer 3D graphics but there were times when the movement controls were confusing and there were several very frustrating segments where fast response was required to solve simple puzzles.
But even on a high end gaming PC with plenty of personal experience playing difficult action titles, it was too hard to respond quickly enough. This meant loading and reloading the same sequence many times despite knowing exactly what needed to be done and how to do it. That is a sign of poor design and why at least two full points were deducted from my score.
Cheers, Terry
