| Deleted User | I am finding this puzzle rather confusing. If I am myself, then how can I possibly be someone else pretending to be me? Are you saying that all the other people in the tournament are not who they appear to be? If so, that seems quite disingenuous to me.
(Note: I must ask Smythe to investigate further the customs of this event called Halloween. Perhaps he can shed some light on this matter of disguises.)

stooge: now i understand your pm! you're obviously looking at it at a lower that 1280x1024 resolution

Although I DID guess Andromus for Professor Hunt I said to Aya, it's too obvious. Now I have to ask...are you really an AGON nut, Andro? Where did I get the idea from... I suspected that LadyK is somewhere high up, but I just didn't think about trans-gender masks...although this is a must for Halloween, is it not? Stupid me. I mean, I was afraid this would happen, but I didn't even try to take it into account. So I put you to Carlotta.
Papabrody...I'm truly sorry to underestimate your performance like that...but putting you somewhere would have thrown the whole system into chaos...
FrankB...I thought you'd post a lot, so either Esmeralda or Quigly. Went for the latter. But good job in your second skin. I wouldn't have noticed. Not sure if you take that as a good thing. [smiley=laughing.gif]
Most hilarious performance: Avatar! Quigly was a riot! But there was only few posting. I was afraid to give myself away, actually. : Tell me...did it throw you off that I had an avatar for a change? Heh. I would almost want to keep that one, it's cool. Probably I change to my masked name on permanent terms... Nah.
I think it was a satisfying masquerade all of you pulled off. Good job, guys and gals!

Avatar's Quigly was a hoot. I knew it had to be someone very different than that throwing up a good smoke screen, but I couldn't place who.
So you guys thought I was Professor Hunt? Shucks, I'm kind of flattered you thought I was good enough to crack the top three (but if you had been paying attention to past contests you would have recalled I'm never higher than 7th or 8th) I thought I telegraphed pretty strongly who I was in my first post -- a loner type who likes puzzles, even taking on a persona that kind of resonated with SirDave's Myst Sheriff! Guess not.
Interesting y'all thought I was an Agon nut too -- I've only commented once or twice on the series ever. I enjoyed the first two episodes quite a bit, but I'm not happy with the various problems episodic gameplay presents. So I can't quite call myself an Agon nut, although I'm intrigued enough by the concept to want to continue the series at some point despite my misgivings about the episodic format.

Oh, I love 800x600! It's worth it just to see people do some Exorcist-like head spinning when you tell them you're still using it. Zarking six year old system, bleah......

This was great fun, being another character for a while. I only got Bastich right, but he didn't disguise himself too well (by winning and breaking the high score ). For the rest of you I didn't have a clue. It was just wild guessing, and I got none correct.
For some reason I was convinced that Quigly would turn out to be Alneyan, until I found out that he wasn't participating.

Fooled ya! I got bad vibes from that tourney, so I didn't join in. As it turned out, I would have been fighting right at the bottom of the list - in the best case scenario, that is.

I only saw the RDA connection after I googled the name.
@stooge What's up? That almost sounds sad...do we have to build another temple out of seagull droppings? That's how it worked, right? *scratching head* *wondering where's the smilie for that*

Bastich was the only player I guessed correctly, and despite my own gender switch, I forgot to consider it when making up my list. Of course, I could blame my poor guesses to leaving it to the last minute and compiling the list at 4:00 AM, but to be honest, the disguises were good. Frank B, Avatar, and Papabrody surprised me the most, however.

Nope. I went straight to the one Nancy Drew game in the tourney and checked out who got that right. Four names, and I had already eliminated three.  OK, so my guess for The Bagman was wrong, which meant my process of elimination wasn't quite as fine tuned as I thought -- but it still worked out anyway.)

I wrote down Lone Adventurer for Andromus, but remembered someone posted a McGyver thread and decided he used a character from there. I thought LadyK was Mrs. Peacock, because I figured it was a good joke to have such an obvious name.
I never guessed the gender switches because I didn't think anyone here would do it. Good job everyone.
