Something to be aware of:
When you purchase the more recent PSP games (such as the Virtua Tennis I just bought), they require an immediate upgrade of the firmware to version 2 or higher. So, if you want to use ScummVM etc. and thus keep the firmware at v1.5, you won't be able to play any recent games or at least, that's the way it appears to me.

FWIW: I've been running PocketScumm and hence can play all games that run under ScummVM on PocketPCs for years. My PocketScumm Manual has now been read by over 70,000 users:

The future ain't what it used to be!

There is a little utility called "No Update" that allows you to get by this restriction.  GTA:LC is really the first game so far that actually REQUIRES an update, all the others previously have been easily fooled. I've played Virtua Tennis, Medievil Ressurection etc etc using the "No Update" utility. GTA:LC isn't going to work though but its not my style of portable game anyway; however give people time, they'll find a workaround
