By the way, Ctrl+Shift+Alt+End (I use all the left keys, but it may work with the right ones) allows you to win the current mission in Thief 2. You should also be able to specify a specific starting mission by altering one of the .ini files.

Number 4 is fully FMV. Someone here made a list of FMV games fairly recently...
Number 20 was made by Sierra.
Number 37 is GRUEsome!

Nice quizz, Mike! I would LOVE to see an FMV-only quizz, as a tribute to what once was. (Sniff.) But I'm not very good with technical stuff and computers.  o you think I could create one with your software?

Status : Online | It was originally my intention to make this an fmv-quiz called 'a tribute to quicktime adventures' or the like. But since I'm on mac now, I couldn't get enough of them running in 'Guest PC' - and I had to take all screenshots myself.
Regarding #8 - yeah, I know its RPG more than adventure, but what the hey!

1. Is a game based on a comic which again is based on a popular movie franchise. One of the lead characters in the game is designed by H.R. Gieger. I don't really think the game was completeable due to bugs, and they never released a patch.
9. Another quicktime adventure game where a hidden passage is revealed behind this workdesk. It's a very 'dark' game.
18. Hmmm, you 'lost' me there...
24. Man, this rare gem is a masterpiece. Its main character is Philip Marlowe.
34. Yup, a 'legendary' game for its 'time'.
35. A game that involves sneaking around in museums after closing time.

The hardest part is taking all the screenshots yourself. You try to get abandonware running in a virtual environment, its really a hassle. Besides, alot of these games are really picky about if you use Quicktime version 2.11 or 2.10 etc.

I'm missing numbers 1,4,8,9,20,24,2735,37 4. Any second now a dame will be walking through that door, and as always dames mean trouble.
8. The sequel to a famous RPG involving a certain fabled 'device' which according to legend does miracles.
9. If you dont get it, just 'forget' about it!
20. Hunting men in the big apple. AGI classic.
27. 'Legendary' entertainment. Apparently based on a book.

Hey, I recognized it and I did type Philip Marlowe, which is part of the name, but no dice.
So my final score is 26 out of 37. I did much better than in Aya's Tourneys.

"******* *** is based on the works of the writer "Raymond Chandler". It is actually more of an interactive movie than a game, which uses cel animation techniques recently seen in the game "Oni". The player gets to control the famous ******* ***, "Phillip Marlowe" who is trying to do what he does best i.e., solve a murder mystery. The game features alternate endings, impressive voice acting, lots of cut-scenes and nice music faithful to the 1940's era, which the game is trying to represent." -According to www.mobygames.com from where I took all naming conventions, Phillip Marlowe is not part of the game's name.

Well, it is on my game CD.

I think it is on mine too, but I decided to adhere to mobygames as there could be regional differences in naming.

Still, 10 is set in a Sci-Fi setting, based on someone's book, and 27 is set in a fantasy setting, based on someone's book. 34 is set in a mixed setting, based on someone's... based on time travel.
Betje's "GRUEsome" for 37 should spell it out for you if you have played the game - or virtually any other in the series.

Any hints?

2 is a game based on a book (again). And guess what? 32 also has its roots in litterature.
