I won't buy anything that has been cencored as I don't believe in cencoring. So does this mean I can't get the US version?

This thread had some info - and some links to pictures of the sort of thing that got cut. http://forums.adventuregamers.com/showthread.php?t=10310
Some more here, with a not very flattering description of the "interactive" sex scene that got cut. http://forums.adventuregamers.com/showthread.php?t=10410
Gogamers will apparently have the import version http://www.gogamer.com/cgi-bin/GoGamer.storefront/SESSIONID/Product/View/001FAHI
They're also selling the US version for $10 less. http://www.gogamer.com/cgi-bin/GoGamer.storefront/SESSIONID/Product/View/001INDP

I was playing along, enjoying this game, and then I had to stop for a brief moment. I came back and found that my autosave function was turned off! Could someone please send me a saved game for right after you balance across the snow covered beam to "save" tiffany? I hate to have to play up that point when I just got through with it. I'm so anxious to see what happens. Thanks.

3. Not really a niggle as such but I have unlocked everything in the extras menu but I am still only at 82% extras unlocked in the in-game stats screen. Am I missing someting? Do I need to play through on hard to unlock more extras or do I need to collect all the floating tokens through the game? Or is this just a bug :S
about 2, yes I was quite surprised -and a little bit perplexed- about that. But things were moving so fast, I just accepted it. Now I'm replaying it and I'm looking for more answer about it this time (...and how very Omikron it is ) And I'm only at 82% too; I dunno, must be something more hidden somewhere.
@sir Funk:
a. play the demo and the buy the game and start all over, because it's THAT great. 0r b. Throw away the demo, buy the game asap and play it from scratch from the bought copy?
I would always recommend to try the demo first. But since it's you -you're obviously not afraid of a little action in your adventure, and beside I've never heard you dislike a game-, just buy it right now I'm sure you'll love it !
@rekalw13: you should be able to start a new game at this chapter I think.

Status : Online | I bought the pc version for this and I really liked it, but the simon parts just felt weird using the keyboard. after completing it I bought the xbox version so I could play it the way it was meant too. I love it even more now.
things I don`t like about it:
the game pretends to have a lot of choices that you really have to do to go on.
the end of the game suddenly goes crazy and it just seems like they had to cut a lot of exposition to finish it in time. I still love it though

I'll be picking up the North American version though I'd personally prefer the original version better.
Edit: Finally got me a copy

Status : Online | I got it last week. I find the "Simon says" parts really annoying and difficult to do, and I don't like the way that you only have a few seconds to choose a conversation topic, but apart from that it's very good.
I'm stuck at the moment, in the police station archives--you have to do so many things all at once...
(PS The sex scene is very embarrassing if there happens to be somebody else in the room at the time! [smiley=blush.gif])

I'm having a blast with this game so far! Never before in a games since The Longest Journey, have I cared about the characters in a game --- and there are 4 to boot!
At the moment, I'm re-playing the Lost Love chapter --- man, did Lucas get depressed big time. I misunderstood what "Alone" meant and chose "Kiss". Minor quibble, but that's a major thing for me when I'm trying to keep my characters' mental health stable.
The music and songs in the game are fantastic btw.
'nuff said for now, gotta get back to playing!....
Oh, for those with the pc version, definately play with a gamepad....

I find that stick diagrams, indicating motion, help to illuminate. Anything about that is gravy and appreciated.
But that's just me.
Eh?

| Deleted User | For those that have been playing this game, I have two questions.
1. Are there any puzzles at all in this game? 2. What genre would you classify this game as?
I have played the demo and love it. However, until I build a new computer, I won't be playing the full version since I want the full graphical effect. To me, the demo gave me the feeling that it's a hybrid but just want to see what others think. I already have the feeling that's it's going to be on my top 20.

| Deleted User | I tried the demo tonight. Once I grasped how the controls worked (it took me some time, but I really don't find them difficult) I must say it certainly had the ability to suck you into the story! It really annoyed me that the demo was so incredibly short, but the fact that it made me pretty much decide to go and buy it this weekend says a lot for such a short demo! The way the timed elements give urgency to puzzle solutions really draws you in there! In many adventure games you are spending a lot of time in very artificial situations where you know that you can take your time and act strangely without it having an effect on the situation, whereas the real-life situation would be quite different. In the demo I really felt that I had to think like the character. Like, when I tried to walk out of the diner the first time, trying to avoid the policeman's attention, but was stopped by the diner lady because I had forgotten to pay. That was a cool feeling! I then tried a radically different approach, getting out of the diner with my arms still bloody. It worked, but had a very different feeling to it, and I was already thinking along the lines of how this would leave more witness reports and evidence to the investigation. Way cool!
I know there were plans to make a game out of the TV series 24. I haven't followed the progress on that at all, but it crossed my mind that such a game should be just like this (although more action-oriented), with the split-screens and everything!

Never played or heard of Parappa the Rapper. Your playlist shows your playing Scratches!! Didn't know it was out yet or do you mean the demo.

The game is not yet out, but is in the beta-testing phase.

Yes I'm beta-testing Scratches, but I don't have much time for it now I'm back at college

Status : Online | To me it seems not so much an AG as an interactive movie with a lot of reflex-based challenges (yes, I've played the demo, and yes, I'm sticking to my own definition of 'adventure game'.) And that's really not my kind of thing, unfortunately. I'm sure many people will love it, but I can't see something as an 'adventure' when it doesn't really have any actual puzzles.
I can't say I was as impressed by the demo as most people here, to be honest. Sure, it had a very 'cinematic' feel to it, and trying all the different actions was fun for about five minutes - until you realise that only a very limited number of them are actually necessary. All the rest is really just window dressing; you can finish the demo in about thirty seconds if you simply follow the obvious course.
Apart from that, it really didn't seem to offer much that The Last Express didn't do back in 1997. The graphics are certainly nothing special, and the interface is the worst ever (I spent far more time battling the controls than doing anything else in the game). I know people are desperate for something original, but I must confess that I don't entirely see what everyone's raving about.
