Interesting
I think I'm not dyslexic, I just have a tendency to make typos. Sometimes I'm amazed at what my fingers are typing... I don't know why I chose letters, I could have chosen numbers just as easily.

By the way - If that's the first time you've ever seen the puzzle..

You know, I honestly couldn't tell. It is possible that I've seen this puzzle before. I may have even seen the solution before. But it would have been years ago and I don't remember any of it (at least not consciously).

I just sat down and tried to figure a solution... the number of possibilities is limited. I quickly determined that weighing 6:6 balls provides no useful information whatsoever (you know beforehand that one side will be heavier
). So I realized the
initial weighing must be done with a subset, I just wasn't sure if it should be 3:3, 4:4 or 5:5. I tried a couple of combinations and 4:4 seemed like the best option. And then I went from there.

Once you've weighed 4:4 balls, there aren't really that many options. I guess I kind of looked at the problem from the information theory standpoint - how can you get the most information from every weighing. I spent about two hours on it but it was between 2 and 4am, not my most productive time of the day

Good job!

Thanks
I'm surprised no one else came up with their own solution...
