I never heard of it until I found a review on JA. I heard it was pretty bad.
What do you think about it, Tempora? Was it any good?

I got it just because I'm a huge Hitchcock fan.  I was hoping for a game in the style of Hitchcock, instead it was something quite different and more of an attempt to make money off of his name.

Awful game, a crime against a great director.  And it sounded so promising, too! :-(

Paid a whole 5 bucks for this game - graphics and play were fair.

Lots of timed puzzles.

For 5 bucks it was OK - but I would not have paid any more for it.

I picked it up because it was mouldering in a bargain bin for a few bucks -- don't know if I'll play it now, based on all the bad things I've heard about it.

This, as with Jack Orlando: Director's Cut, is one of the truly bad games that I actually enjoyed. I really can't explain why, but I had fun playing it and have even replayed it several times. To each his own, I suppose.

I started this game and ended up stuck head first in a rowboat reaching for scuba gear.  On one of my computers in the attic I am still virtually stuck in that rowboat head first reaching for scuba gear and I always will be................

happy trails,

I have never heard anything good, and much bad about this game, but if you already have it, I'd at least throw it in my machine and try it out--you can always quit in disgust 20 minutes later if it's as bad as everyone says it is.

I bought it from a bargain bin earlier this year - did I like the game? Well, frankly no! Certainly not something I'd recommend unless you're really desperate!

I think that puts it pretty well.  This game has it's share of problems but the graphics and atmosphere are good.  The puzzles are fairly logical and the story was interesting enough for me to finish it all the way through.  I personally think that this game would have faired better w/ the masses had it NOT tried the Hitchcock tie in just because nothing could have done the great Hitchcock name justice.  Over-all, yes I would recomend this game but don't go in w/ high hopes of an engrossing epic game.  It's quirky and yes, pretty fun.

Did anyone else find TFC extremely buggy? It kept freezing halfway through the conversations, resulting in hard reboot after hard reboot!  ARGH!!!   I finally made to the end, only to be let down and confused by the wrap-up of the vaguely Hitchcockian mystery!  ???

(At least baking the apple crumble in this game was easier than baking cookies in Still Life!!!
:
)

Also, for those of you that played this, was your version the European one or the North American one?  The original European release had a weird arcade sequence (ą la Donkey Kong) that took place on the roof of the hotel.  For some reason, it was removed from the North American version!  >

I'm glad I didn't pay more than $10 CDN for this!
