For a budget-priced PC title, I actually enjoyed the first game, Dracula: Resurrection but the second one, The Last Sanctuary (which was a true sequel) fell far short of even my modest expectations. It included numerous scenes (maps) straight out of the original, added some really dumb semi-action sequences that did nothing to enhance the gameplay, suspense or fright factor, felt very rushed in several places and in the end was just not much fun to play.
I gave it a 4 for those reasons but will add that it is a well made game with no bugs at all from what I could see. It installed and ran perectly throughout and there were at least a few decent puzzles and mildly scary parts. Also, the in-game and cut scene artwork overall was quite good, the sound was better than average and the interface was clean, simple and familiar. But altogether those positive attributes could not save it from being a rather dull adventure game with some serious flaws.
Cheers, Terry
