You have gotten the attention of the mysterious lady. She turns to face you. Her face is devoid of any flesh. You are frozen with horror as she begins ripping your body into a bloody mess.

Status : Online | Yep! It's just a little red blinking light... like the kind on tall buildings and radio towers.

| Deleted User | Red lights are cool. Blinking red lights are even cooler.
Can you turn it on and off? Put in a new battery?
I don't remember what the thingy looked like, I probably threw it away.
PS: Tall buildings have red lights in the US? Why is that?

(Well, at least a couple other employees in the store besides me thought it was cool... )

On topic: The red light on my Overseer box died years ago - but yes, I thought it was cool while it lasted.

Status : Offline | Are the batteries like watch batteries (little silver disc like things)? If they are, then it would be easy enough to find new ones to buy. Don't remember how difficult they would be to replace and the garage is oh so far away...
We can be heroes, just for one day.

Access Explains the Enigmatic LED Contraption
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., July 31, 2005 -- Contrary to popular belief, there is no puzzle in the LED contraption within the box. Please DO NOT open your contraption. With regards to the batteries, we didn't even put batteries in there so that we aren't even sure how the darn thing works.

Status : Online | The light on my Overseer box still works. There's an on/off switch (under a red sticker that says PRESS ON/OFF). There are two batteries (the kind used in watches, probably lithium, I can't see the exact type) but although they don't seem to be soldered on, they would be pretty difficult to replace. So Val is spot on - I'm pretty sure replacement batteries wouldn't be hard to find, but actually replacing them would probably be non-trivial. Then again, the contraption doesn't seem to be glued on so terribly well and it might be possible to take it out of the box. I'm not gonna try with mine
I don't know if all Overseer boxes had the exact same contraption in them.
I forgot my sig.
