Status : Online | I think they should definitely look into the control system once again. Probably a bad console-port... It's awful. How are you supposed to have the mouse in one hand, navigate with the other one and then press Shift - or any key for that matter, because it's customizable - to run? Can only result in a mess.
Grabbing the camera to move it is unnecessary and creates this whole dilemma. What about FPS-controls? They are fine for this. What is tougher: moving the mouse to turn in different directions or pressing keys?
But I'd have to check one thing first, again, and that's...are the actions done by imitating the move shown or do you have to hold the mouse as well? Because I did the latter. If you can just go in the particular direction that of course explains why they didn't use the FPS controls. However, it would be better then to hold and move for actions and moving for turning. The way it is, action scenes will get very tedious. Another workaround: Running is a trigger instead of having it pressed all the time. That would work, but still, the controls are tough.
Too bad, because I liked the idea in general. But then, it's only a demo and they can still change that. Probably I should send feedback to them.

I use the normal fps style of conrols. w/s/a/d, left shift = run. It's quite easy.
The mouse gestures and the "tapping" controls I agree with, I don't get the point of them, maybe with the retail version it'll make sense, but it seems like it's simply someting added to give the player a sense of accomplishment......like the old olympic games on the consoles had you quickly tap a key to make your guy run faster, etc.
