That doesn't sound like a Legend game I know of, so the Longest Journey (though it doesn't quite match).

No, it's not TLJ, Alneyan.

In this game, the lack of purple is important.

It's the other one then: Zork Grand Inquisitor.

I wanted to say that one first, and changed for Longest Journey... Silly! And sillier still, as I didn't make the connection between "sugar" and the item you use with the drink. *Rams the nearest wall headfirst*

That's the one, Alneyan.  It's your turn to give a clue.

Deleted UserThese clues seem rather difficult, but I shall take careful notes.  Who knows what information might help me in my search for the Agon?

It sounds like some Dracula game.

Let's try: "
acula: The Resurrection"?

I didn't play any Dracula games, so let's just say there is no link with Vampires.

ok...

You can find part of this game's title on your keyboard (and it's not the space bar)

Not what I was thinking about...
It's a pretty obscure title, I'll give another hint -

The first half of the game is set on an alien planet, the second is on earth.

Deleted UserIn response to the question by FrankB, I do not know the exact nature of the Agon.  I have received clues that lead me to believe it could be dangerous, and I have indeed found myself in some rather precarious predicaments in my pursuit of it.  I still have more journeys to complete, but I do hope that someday I may share my discoveries with the world.

In response to Shany's interesting clue, my research indicates the game is a fantasy adventure which could have been written by Mr. Jules Verne himself.  It concerns a strange pink creature with the equally strange name of Chewy, and the subtitle is Escape from F5, wherever that may be.

Correct you are! F5 is the planet where we begin our game, as we (as Chewy) try to escape it and rescue our friend, who is stuck on earth.

Now you give us a clue.

Deleted UserThis is wonderful!  (I must thank Smythe for his most useful information.)

I am thinking of a story in which one of the characters must remove the wax seal of a letter without melting or cracking it.

Deleted UserNo, Technospike, the one I have in mind has more realistic looking characters, and one of them must climb up the inside of a chimney to overhear a conversation.

Deleted User(Oh, dear.  I fear this may be a game few have played.  I had better give another clue.)

The game takes place in medieval times in a famous city with an equally famous cathedral.

Paris 1313, le Disparu de Notre-Dame?

Never played that one, but famous cathedrals aren't exactly common.
