Status : Online | In a sentence? I like it. I gave it a nine because I didn't like the violence of seeing Gabe get hit by the pendulum (I don't mind violence, per se, but seeing a favorite character of mine die violently), and the serpent rouge was hard as hell for me. I managed up to that point without using a giuld, but couldn't get past it. I loved all the characters and voice acting, and the ending was one of the best video game endings I've ever seen (I'm so often disappointed by them). Honorable mention for downers is the reaction of Mosley if his supposed friend Gabe falls in the disappearing bridge action sequence. And if you beat it how they all manage to get by the puzzles was annoying, too. I had to work damn hard to get by them and lard-ass Mosley can get by in one try? I read somewhere that Gabriel Knight 4 was going to be a book instead of a game. Just thought I should mention it.

I gave it a 9 because Tim Curry's performance as Gabriel just was waaaay too much over the top.
I've never cringed so much hearing a voice-under. Hearing him use potty language towards the end was the feel good moment of the year for me.

The acting was great and refreshing I found and also last but not least the MUSIC - funny no one mentioned it. I think the theme music for GK 3 is the best thing I heard out of computer games period!

With a game scoring so high on all levels, it's easy to overlook one element. You're absolutely right though, the music in this game is brilliant! 8-) Welcome to the forum btw!

This is a classic game that will go down in Adventure Game history as one of the memorable ones! You should try this one - it has a good, interesting story! I gave it a "9" because I didn't like the timed sequences.

It's one of my favourate games, of one of the best adventure game series ever created. It doesn't reach the heights of The Beast Within, but it's still one of the greatest digital achievements of our age...
BUT.....
A few months ago, I actually tried impersonating a friend's passport photo by manufacturing a mustache out of cat fur. The cat was none too pleased, and when I tried to use the passport while wearing it, I was asked to leave.
Gabriel Knight 3 lied to me about reality.

Status : Online | I give it a 10. It's still my favourite adventure game (granted, there are lots and lots I still haven't played but until then...) and despite the tricky action sequences towards the end I love this game. It has everything: great, well researched, intruiging story, interesting characters (and I'm talking about all characters here, not just Gabe and Grace), nice, accurate setting (I've never been to Rennes-le-Chateau but I'm sure I'd find my way around with no problems at all), real-time-elements, lots of tricky puzzles, beautiful music ... I could go on and on and on
