I gave it '10'. One of the few that I'd replay.

What's with the "crap control system" comments?  I never had a single problem with it.
...not to be confused with Keira Knightley

I gave it a 9. A wonderful game, great story, great graphics, great music...I don't remember the puzzles too much, though, so I guess they weren't that memorable...

The controls didn't bother me one bit after I read the manual.

The controls drove me wild at first but eventually I got the hang of them.  Great story, humor, graphics, music, voices.

One of the best adventure games I have ever played. Both the controls and Glottis got on my nerves a little, but other than that, a perfect game. 10 from me.

PS. Manny Calavera kicks ass.

I wonder who could possibly give this game a "1"?!   >

I gave this a 10 - mostly for sentimental reasons.  I love the characters and puzzles - Manny rocks...he's great!!

Deleted UserI couldn't play it the controls were so horrid. I don't like cartoons anyway.

A coworker heard about it and went out of his way to find a copy and said it was crap, the controls suck.

This is the most over rated piece of sh&t.

Sorry, imho

I did. i've owned three copies and threw all three away after screaming at the screen for the noise level being frantic and the controls subpar.

If I ever get back to play this game I may revise my low score of 3.  I disliked the controls and didn't get very far.  Somehow I wasn't bothered and put it away - so I guess I found what little I did play, boring.   Lots of people rave about it though so I won't throw it away, I'll look at it again one day.

I gave this game a 6. Most important reason for that is, like many here, the control system. Aargh! Really hated it, kept walking into walls, hitting doors that would only open when approached from a certain direction, yuck! The inventory system was a bit annoying as well. Some other game elements were a hit-and-miss affair (some absurd puzzles, occasional unfunny dialog that would go on and on, some waver thin characterisation for certain side characters you're supposed to care about, etc).

But, there was also a lot to like in this game! Its graphics still stand out after all these years, the art direction is fantastic, Manny is a hilarious main character/hero, and the general plot line kept up my interest  till the end of the game. The fact I finally stuck with the game and finished it during my fourth or fifth attempt, proves that the good elements outbalance the bad ones, though only by a small margin. Therefore, I gave it a 6.

To those who hated the controls, I feel your pain.  I picked up and put down this game twice after
looking at the manual and screaming "You've got to be kidding".  But after about 15-30 minutes
practice it became a non-issue for me.

What can I say.  The story was unique. The characters were wonderfully conceived, portrayed and
acted.  The dialog was charming, witty and sometimes side-splitting hilarious. The graphics were colorful
and artistic.  And the puzzles were well integrated.  Hey, the game is not perfect as others have pointed
out.  But this is about as perfect as it gets for me.

I give it a 10.
