I wouldn't start partitioning my HDD in a fit A great way to screw up the system and etcetera. The only sane way to run a system is to partition the disks is what I'd say

Status : Offline | well... i'd have to say with all the reading i've done here on this forum in regards to running older games... which os, how to tweak this and that, dual booting, partitions.... WHEW !
i think i'll wander on over to my computer fix-it guy (who runs his business out of his home with his wife) and see what he's got kicking around for a second tower...
does this sound like a good idea ? if i'm running win98se, what do you all think my second system should be ???

Using an older system would probably be the easiest and smoothest way to run older games; I chose a dual boot because I really don't have room for another system, even if I used a KVM switch to save some space.
