Yeah... I know it was bad... making tea, what was that about... then there were scorpions in my book, but killing them was somewhat fun

Okay so I was reading this old review of the game (The one by Craig White, who gave it an "F"
and remembered some of the annoying points... but something jumped out in my mind about comic books. Solving some kind of puzzle called the juxtapuzzler (a word scramble of sorts) and then seeing some comic book scene with stationary pictures with voices and sound effects on top... and for some reason I remember these being minorly odd, disturbing, or creepy. I was wondering if I am misinterpreting what was going on there or/and what where those about. I'm really interested in them and can't seem to find any info online about it, I don't have the game so I can't dig it up and start playing. That or any other information about the story/characters (besides the fact that its Genghis Khan's spirit, also called Temujin...) would be appreciated because now I'm thinking about it.

"Comic books"? "Juxtapuzzler"?

I'm not really sure what this has to do with Temujin, but I do recall the slider-type (or was it a slider? Hm.) puzzle in a cubicle in the art studio.

I really enjoyed Temujin after I:
  • finally got the sound to work. Before I configured the sound properly, I couldn't understand why in heck that woman was standing in front of me getting madder by the second and eventually just yelling at me! I couldn't hear a word she said and she was really starting to scare me, like I had done something really bad! :'(
  • got used to the small screen (but it sure looked great), the Full-Motion Video (FMV), and the gameplay.
Temujin's gameplay and the Virtual Reality engine:

I think the best way to play Temujin is to just take it easy and accept the uncontrollability of your viewpoint. I was getting madder and madder as I "floated" into walls, etc., but eventually just relaxed and I enjoyed the game so much more.

Temujin is not exactly an easy game to get through. Some puzzles are difficult. I was stuck many times but with some gentle nudging from posters on the usenet group comp.sys.ibm.pc.games.adventure I was able to make it through.

I have yet to get through Dark Side of the Moon but now that I have a new computer I'm going to try it again. I'm quite looking forward to it, as I consider Lee Sheldon a genius.

I'm rambling, I'll stop.

Please proofread your posts carefully to see if you any words out.

Deleted UserAh, the interactive comic book, that was very good! Never saw anything like it in an adventure game. Yeah, it was creepy and disturbing. It was about the childhood of that poor security guy. You could change the events slightly, but the ending was always sad and bad.

Temujin is one of my favorite games, I had so much fun with it.  The tea-making puzzle was great too. I do remember the juxtapuzzler, although I didn't know that's what it's called.

Yep That was a strange game for me anyway. I started off playing it without a walkthrough hopping I wouldn't need one but soon go to what looked like a dead end.  When I read the walkthrough I couldn't belive it, the way out was somehting I wouldn't ever have thought of.

Temujin was probably one of the first 5 games I played back in 1996 when I bought my first computer-Windows 95, and I knew nothing about DOS. I was amazed that it played right off the CD like a console game. I quite liked the game although it was getting terrible reviews on nearly every gaming site.

I didn't by any means hate the game, but it was aggravating a bit and I did need help to do some of the puzzles... especially considering I was like 13
