[glb]TEXT[/glb]Hi everyone. This is my first time here.

Unusually, I wasn't able to find the answer to my problem on the net:

London CITY 2000 installs beautifully in WIN98SE and even plays without a hitch. HOWEVER, as soon as the introductory movie finishes, I am returned to the desktop with a "thanks for playing" message.

The strange thing is-there are no errors! The game works perfectly except it doesn't actually "engage". I've tried with NOEMS and without in the config.bat but no difference.

It would be so much easier if there was an actual error but no such luck!

Any ideas?

Hi there and welcome!

You're lucky as I bought this game a couple of months ago and managed to run it without problems altought my system is Win XP. Give me one day so I can try it on my Win 98 computer and I'll get back to you.
As far as I remember, I ran it without any additional software (like VDMSound) but I could be wrong.

I'd definitely be interested in hearing the cause for this.  A friend of mine had the exact same thing happen to him trying to play this game using Win98SE.  I have no clue why myself.
