Status : Online | Hi everyone. I found Black Dahlia recently and have been fiddling with it in between Nancy Drew games. I decided to get back to it tonight and really get into it, but I'm wondering if I have to do things in a certain order in order for the game to progress. For example, I went around and talked to all of the guys (Finster, Merylo, Sullivan) and went to McGinty's bar and talked to Winslow. Using my trusty strategy guide, I figured out the phone number for Strauss, and left a message for him. Well, after leaving and coming back several times, I still don't have a message on my desk from his daughter Helen, and I'm wondering if it's because I didn't talk to everyone in the right order.
sigh..
It's frustrating to think that I might have to "go by the book" so completely, because if that's the case, I might as well just keep the strategy guide open and follow it by the letter.
Has anyone else played this game and if so, did you have any problems with this part of it?
