Still adventuring after all these years!
Patiently awaiting The Last Crown: Haunting of Hallowed Isle, and Bracken Tor...
... and Asylum if it's not tooooo scary...

Deus Ex (can't wait for DX: Invisible War)
Unreal (and of course now Unreal 2 even though I have not yet played it)
HL
NOLF (1, not 2)
Anachronox
Undying
GTA3 (loved all that driving around)
After seeing Planescape: Torment every time I turn around in these forums, I am going to buy and play it!

Deus Ex - really caught me up for a while, but having tried to replay it recently it got on my nerves, probably because it's so long and takes forever to get to the really juicy stuff. I got bored quickly. Anyone else experience that on a replay? I loved it first time.
SWAT 3 - I really enjoyed playing. Some great levels on that one - main problem is trying to stop your team members doing deeply stupid things.
Half-Life - loved it loved it.
The Thief games - again. (cos I can! )
Had a long time playing Age of Empires II till it got too hard and I started cheating with codes. Reminded me of Populus on the Amiga!
Looking at other's lists I have some real catching up to do in the gaming classic stakes i think. If I could get hold of a reasonably priced Sys Shock II I would. Don't know Fall Out, or Mafia, or Max Payne or numerous others...... but I shall, oh yes.....

I was doing the same stuff over and over again ad nauseum. It's really the only game that's had that effect on me. I've heard Black and White did that to a lot of people, though.

I had the exact same feeling: playing it for days at first and really enjoying myself. Then I got tired of it and didn't play it for a long time. Then a few months later I decided to give it another try and I was hooked again for days. This cycle has repeated itself a few times over the last three years. At the moment I'm really loving it again, so I included in my list. Ask me again in a few months and I'll probably tell you it's an overrated game.

1. Black & White and the Creature Isle expansion pack (strategy god game): Black & White is just magical. The AI, the quests, the hundreds of hidden goodies, citizens wandering around in the creature cave. This is the only game I've ever stayed up all night long playing. The Creature Isle pack, while much shorter and very different from the original game, still had a lot of the brilliance and whimsy of the original Black & White.
2. Anachronox (third person rpg): I'm currently in the middle of playing Anachronox, and each time I play it I'm increasingly upset about the game's poor sales and the fate of the team that developed it. Anachronox is one of the weirdest, most creative and funny epic games that I've played. It should have been more popular, and the developers should have been allowed to continue the story.
3. Arx Fatalis (first person rpg): No game has made me feel like I was "really there" the way Arx did. I loved eavesdropping on the conversations of people and monsters, and the fact that you can kill or p*ss off crucial people to the game added to the realism. Also, side-quests-a-go-go.
4. Zanzarah: The Hidden Portal (third person action/adventure/sorta rpg): The music, graphics, and environmental sounds made this game a constant joy for me. Even during battles I'd sneak moments just to scope out the scenery around the various arenas.
5. American McGee's Alice (third person shooter action adventure): I originally bought this game thinking it was a traditional adventure, and was at first embarrassed and disappointed to find it was actually a third-person shooter. However, I was immediately drawn in by the eerie atmosphere, complex maps, and way cool weapons. Thinking back on it, I can't believe I got through some of those levels because they seemed so incredibly daunting at first. But it was always fun. Having infinite save games helped too!

Nothing! It is really good and i don't think that noone should comment anything on that!
Resistance is not futile, we're gonna win this thing, humankind is too good, we're not a bunch of under-achievers! We're gonna stand up, and we're gonna be human beings. We're going to get fired up about the real things, the things that matter! Creativity, and the dynamic human spirit that refuses to submit.

I don't care if anyone would have some comment... It just seemed that my list was so different from the other ones, so I was just curious.
