I thought The Terminal was supposed to be good.
I liked The Terminal. I don't need to see it again, but first viewing was enjoyable enough.

| Deleted User | Sorry for the long string of Speck replies. I'll put all remaining ones in this one post:
The Office: I rented the first season, I saw the humor, but I couldn't make it through. Why? It was too painfully accurate! Yes, I work in an Office.
Ladykillers: I honestly didn't even realize that it was a Coen Bros film until the end credits. I've done this before: rented a film or ran into it on cable and watched it not knowing it was a Cohen production, but suspected it before the end. However, this one caught me off-guard. I might see something in retrospect if I re-watched it... but I'm not gonna.
MST3K: I watched several. They were pretty funny... but when they were first aired, my time was too valuable for sitting through 90 minutes of wisecracks about a stinker film. It still is, funny, but not funny enough.
Legally Blonde: There are some films that are too obvious to not avoid ;^)
Stinkers due to not delivering after having a painfully high cost: have we forgotten Waterworld? (Yes, another film that isn't the worst in the world and actually had some promising moments, but it had a record breaking cost, didn't it? It didn't deliver.)
Specks List of Recent Stinkers:- I Heart Huckabees
- The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou
Both are good examples of wonderful talent wasted, especially the first one. The 2nd one isn't that bad... but I feel that Anderson just failed to deliver this time around.

The new "The Longest Yard" remake looks like it will be fairly atrocious.
A recent dissapointment for me was Kung Fu Hustle. It was fun to an extent, but the way people were raving about it I expected a lot more. I have the feeling if I saw it again I wouldn't find it funny at all.

Status : Online | Ok, long story short, these are the movies I have rated 1/10 on imdb.com:
Allan Quatermain and the Lost City of Gold (1987) Armed and Dangerous (1986) Bad Company (2002) Barb Wire (1996) Beverly Hills Cop III (1994) The Cable Guy (1996) Chill Factor (1999) Cloak & Dagger (1984) Dungeons & Dragons (2000) Eight Legged Freaks (2002) Exit Wounds (2001) Fair Game (1995) Freddy Got Fingered (2001) Hackers (1995) King Solomon's Mines (1985) Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001) Laws of Deception (1997) Menno's Mind (1996) Orca (1977) Race to Space (2001) Susan's Plan (1998 ) Universal Soldier: The Return (1999)
I don't recall all of these, but "Orca" sticks out as being particularly crappy (laughably intelligent homicidal killer whale bent on revenging partner killed by whalers).
The one I hate the most though is " Lara Croft: Tomb Raider " because it could have been so much better (loved the first game).
PS: I gave "I Heart Huckabees" 9/10 . It was a very strange movie though, and I'm not sure why I liked it so much, so I can understand how others may dislike it.
Feel free to ignore this post.

You cannot be telling me that you hated Tomb Raider more than Dungeons and Dragons!

Of course I can. Dungeons and Dragons was definately worse than Tomb Raider, but I don't hate bad movies. They can be quite entertaining actually. In fact I don't think I hate any other movies than Tomb Raider, because it could and should have been so much better. It turned out more or less exactly as I feared it would when I heard it would be directed by the same guy who made Con Air.
Feel free to ignore this post.

I ask this because if you really want to see a tragedy, hire out the original Day of the Jackel, then watch the remake The Jackel.
If you do this, then you will truly understand why I believe The Jackel to be the worst film ever made.
Cheers, Eternal

I thought as a simple action film it could have been ok, if it hadn't been for Richard Gere trying to do an Irish accent and failing horribly at it! Really annoying! Almost as bad as Brad Pitt in The Devil's Own, another pretty big stinker.
Haven't seen the original The Jackal yet, but when I do, I'm sure I won't think any better of this remake. More probably the opposite, as you say.
same goes for The Manchurian Candidate. The Denzel Washington remake is just awful, while the original was a tense, if slightly dated, effective thriller.
Other bad films (well, like the previous ones not in the sense of worst movies ever as you'll see there are several well-thought-of films among them, but for me, they are some of the most awful/boring/ridiculous/overrated movies out there (and I know, for some it might have something to do with high expectations not being fulfilled):
- Jurassic Park - The Pillow Book - 2001: A Space Odyssey - Sugar Hill - America's Sweethearts - Misery - Leaving Las Vegas - Gladiator - SWAT - Kids - Spy Hard - The Cooler - Bringing up Baby - La Règle du Jeu - Unbreakable - The Manchurian Candidate (2004)
ok, I'll stop now.
