Deleted UserJust a general warning...

Many people have been looking forward to Still Life. They should be aware that the review may spoil some of their fun. I have finished the game and I understand why the reviewer would comment at length on this particular (disappointing) aspect of the game. I FULLY agree with him. Even so, it's a spoiler. Read the review at your own risk.

Thanks for the notice, Betje!

I just read AG's review and I think I'll leave it at that.  Instead of taking a risk of spoilers, maybe I should just buy the game this weekend and play it.

I miss my Bubba: 1986 - 2006.

Just to explain myself, the reasoning behind putting that in my review was to warn people.  Probably only 1 in 1000 people would not be upset with that aspect of the game.  It's so excruciatingly bad that I felt it was only responsible to give a warning.

.

I have yet to read the review but if there is a glaring flaw in a new game, it is the duty of any responsible writer / editor to point it out in no uncertain terms. So whatever it is, thanks in advance for the heads-up.

Cheers,  Terry

Again, I agree with you. I much prefer your review to the IMO far too gushing one at AG, which even attempts to downplay that particular aspect of the game. Not good.

My only criticism of the Inventory review is that I feel a spoiler warrning would have been in order. Not everybody wants to know this beforehand.

PS: I read both reviews after I'd finished the game.

Betje, you're probably right.  A spoiler warning would've been best.  And thanks for your compliment by the way.

What's up with http://www.theinventory.org/   ?
It's been timing out all day.
Same with http://www.adventure-eu.com/
Has the server been hacked or something?

I started Still Life several days ago.  Very nice graphics.  Stark colors that define the atmosphere of the game perfectly.  Plot appears to be strong.  Characters believable.  So far I give it a A.

Warning:  There is a lot of profanity that is very realistic to the situations depicted.  But if you have virgin ears and this will offend you  I would avoid the game.

I still can't get the Inventory site, or adventure-eu. They time out.

Can anyone else get into those sites?

Regarding adventure-advocate.gr, we were told by the server admin that there is a back-up and the site information will not be lost.
I believe that the same applies to the other sites. We will be propably on-line again today.
