Oh, we've got rivers with all kinds of odd names. Rivers like the Monongahela, Susquehanna, and Youghiogheny, for starters. Can't say why a river would catch fire, though. Oil spill? Some other pollution? You got it. Pollution from all the steel mills and industry in the area at that time, much better now, but I certainly wouldnt swim in it.

Beer- Sheva is one of the world oldest cities. The biblical Abraham founded the place in the second century b.c.
We still have 2 wells, one was dug by Abraham himself, the other by Jacob, his grandson. The wells are here:
We have a tamarisk, that is several hundred years old. The religious people belive, it was planted by Abraham, but it couldn't be that old
Beer- Sheva is the fourth largest city in the country.
We have the highest percentage of university students in the country.
There were plans to build a huge theme park next to Beer- Sheva, since 1970. Every new mayor talks about it in his campaign. Needless to say, we still wait
We had a bus driver strike, that lasted for 5 months [smiley=crazy.gif]
There If I'll think of anything else, I'll let you know.
Do go on! I always yawn, when I'm fascinated!

He got money from work to do some kind of course activity. So he found this two-week Greenland tour that he signed up for. Two persons from each Scandinavian country were allowed to go, and he was one of the lucky Swedes. It was very expensive, so he wouldn't have afforded it if he didn't get the special money. And still he paid extra out of his own pocket to get to go. The trip included helicopter rides, picnics on the glaciers etc. Needless to say, I'm very jealous of him. He brought a video camera, so I expect him to catch many interesting things on film.

Greenland and the Faroe Islands are part of Denmark still.

Don't worry, it's just a bad pun.
