Old Age is something that people think happens to anyone 10 years older than them. That means that 30 year olds think 40 is old, etc. However, by the time people reach 60 they've cottoned on and they realise it's all a myth. We are simply fit and healthy or we aren't. There really is no such thing as old. Wrinkles are on the outside only. They are the creases that come with useage.
oh, and wrinkled people have sex too - disgusting isn't it?
Oh, and magazines air-brush their photographs - even Sigourney Weaver doesn't look like Sigourney Weaver without the right lighting, make up and photoshop touch ups.
PS the most important secret is of course the myth about Santa Claus...

Status : Online | Well, in the latest issue of Wired Magazine, there was an article about George Lucas. It said that "Art and history books line the walls of a room he designed as a personal sanctuary" in his home - guess it's too mundane for Wired Magazine to call it a study. OK, he buys them - I want to know if he reads them! I'd throw a little fiction into the mix too.
One of the projects he's working on - he's the executive producer of Red Tails, "a movie about a group of African-American fighter pilots known as the Tuskegee Airmen, who were excluded from the US Army Air Corps until 1940 and then flew 1.500 missions in World War II without losing a single plane".
The article goes on to say that there will be a fourth episode of Indiana Jones.
I think the Tuskegee Airmen movie is an interesting choice for him. It's got that history/social consciousness thing working for him, and it's a fighter plane combat movie - something he's awfully good at doing.
I realize that he started out making indie films - he went to UCLA film school. As far as I can tell, he's also watched everything, when he was starting out - popular films, indie stuff, the French new cinema - everything. For all that, sometimes I wonder what stuck. I'd like to see if he can do a movie with more complex characters, and one where actors actually get to act. That would be interesting.
Regards, mszv

I think it's been in production for a while. The first volume is already coming out on dvd on May 2nd. The title of the dvd is called "Star Wars: Clone Wars: Volume 1". (also on imdb: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0361243/ ) Maybe he meant that more tv series episodes will be produced? This series is supposed to be pretty good. Anyone seen it here yet?
I have the dvd "Star Wars: Clone Wars: Volume 1"; it has been out for about a month now. Quite enjoyable and since each chapter is only about 5-6 minutes in length, it dives into the story/action right off the bat.
The last 5 episodes, which has been extended to about 12 minutes each, will soon air on May 4 at my local Teletoon network channel. These 5 final episodes will bridge, and lead into, the events that will be seen in the opening scenes of "Revenge of the Sith".

Here's one of the music videos that's on the DVD that's coming with the official CD soundtrack. It's an extended version of the final trailer with lots of cool, extra footage and of course the music is completely different:

Indy is a charicature who is strong enough to be able to support himself, regardless of which actor portrays him - like James Bond. Find a good actor, prefferably with more than a passing resembelance to Ford, and they'll have their title character ready to go.
Personally, I fear for it now that Lucas wants to write it. He seems to be the only man who doesn't realise that he's lost the touch. What's he going to do now, have the nazis impose trade sanctions on Indy?

He's immature and can't commit to a woman. I mean, look at him. Middle aged college professor bedding assorted females but still hasn't settled down. And if you met such a chap in real life you wouldn't want him.
So the dilemna is, if you set the next film in late 40s or 50s is he still the single man bedding the now much younger women? Please..... it's a juvenile male fantasy that women are so readily available to wrinkled old men who don't have any fame, money or political power.

Well, why not pick wrinkled old women to go along with the wrinkled old men? That might make the film just a bit different, but it should be easier to explain... unless there is something else that prevents that from happening as well?
Oh, and why would it be a *juvenile* male fantasy? Wouldn't it be the kind of fantasy older men have rather? If you are young, then you are not too likely to be concerned about what you will do when you are wrinkled, while the opposite... would be more of a concern, and a closer one too.

It's already been confirmed that it'll be an older Indy and that Sean Connery may still have a role in it. I remember an episode of Young Indiana Jones that had a bearded Ford playing an older Indy telling a story to whoever it was. I just hope they lose the beard for this since it didn't seem right.

Sure sounds like he's shot himself in the foot there. What's he going to do in thirty years time when he wants to make MORE Indy films again?
And the first person to say CG-Indy gets shot
