That is correct Challis3! Your turn to post a quote!

It definitely is! I love this film! However, many would disagree with me here, so don't get your hopes up too high. It was made by the same team as Trainspotting, but it's so radically different I think most people were disappointed with it. It probably couldn't be further away from being a Trainspotting 2. Basically, it's a great romantic comedy, but with a twist. 8-) It's quirky, off-beat, original and very funny at times. Hope you like it!

Challis got it correct! It's from Tarantino's latest two-parter Kill Bill. And ooh, sci-fi dvds! Which ones? One of my favourite genres as well! I've just finished watching Star Trek: the motion picture. I feared it would be awful, as it is regarded as one of the weaker movies in the series, but it turned out to be a rather good one. A bit too long maybe.

I agree that the first Star Trek was a bit drawn out, but I still enjoyed story. I just got the last 2 seasons of The Next Generation, so I'll be starting them from the beginning very soon.
I recently rewatched Max Headroom and a wonderful little tv sleeper called Overdrawn at the Memory Bank, a story by John Varley starring Raul Julia. It's a world of the future combined with Casablanca. I don't think it's out on DVD, but it's worth getting if you can find it.

I'll play a little bit:

No takers, eh? I made it easy for everyone. It's the "Movie Quote of the Day" on IMDb today.
Yeah, I really went out of my way to find one. :

Imdb? We're not cheaters, you know. [smiley=angel.gif]
Ah, now I know it. It's Cannery Row.
Next one: "You've seen a general inspecting troops before haven't you? Just walk slow, act dumb and look stupid!"

Never even heard of it... [smiley=blush.gif] And the quote really sounded sooo familiar. Must be another movie that used the exact, or a very similar quote like that one.

Scratching my hair on this one as well I'm afraid. So much for my claims of being a great movie fan. :

Sounds like it's from The Dirty Dozen?

"I distrust a close-mouthed man. He generally picks the wrong time to talk and says the wrong things. Talking's something you can't do judiciously, unless you keep in practice. Now, sir, we'll talk if you like. I'll tell you right out, I'm a man who likes talking to a man who likes to talk."

Wim, Cannery Row is a neat little film taken from John Steinbeck's novel of the same name. It's a romantic comedy about a hooker (Debra Winger) and a marine biologist (Nick Nolte) in a has-been California fishing town and has a great cast of quirky characters. It's produced and directed by the same people who did The Sting, Michael Phillips and David S. Ward, and it's narrated by John Huston. I recommend it highly.

Haven't seen The Sting either. [smiley=blush.gif] Well, at least I know what that one is about. I'll add both to my list of must see films.
