I should at least play the Zork graphical adventures considering the kind of reviews they usually get, but my "play 'em in order" compulsion won't let me get to them before the text adventures. And my text adventure savviness is even less than my Zork savviness.

| Deleted User | Rats! The answer to question number one was Zork One. (What game is this from: "Opening the small mailbox reveals a letter" May have been obvious to most people but not to me. I thought the answer was Wishbringer because both a small and a big mailbox play a part in that lovely game. The confrontation between the big and the little one is hilarious. And I was so sure that I never bothered to check. Master Storyteller Brian Moriarty did use the same prase, execept for the word "small", which he changed into "little".
--------- You are standing in an open field west of a white house, with a boarded front door. There’s a little mailbox here.
> Open mailbox Opening the little mailbox reveals a leaflet.
The edges of the little mailbox are beginning to twinkle.
> Get leaflet Taken.
The little mailbox is engulfed in a sparkling aurora! Tremors of anticipation run up and down its length, and the air sings with Magick.
> Read leaflet It seems to be junk mail for a primitive computer game. The cancelled stamp on the leaflet is too faded to read clearly.
With a gentle pop! The little mailbox pulls itself out of the ground and cavorts about the grass like a happy rabbit.
> West A subtle pressure against your body prevents you from moving that way.
The little mailbox notices you and snaps its tiny lid with joy. It makes a silly “clump-clump, clump-clump” sound as it hops to your side and rubs lovingly against your sleeve.
> Pat mailbox The little mailbox coos with pleasure at your touch.
> Mailbox, follow me The little mailbox doesn’t reply but coos with pleasure at the sound of your voice.
> North The little mailbox clump-clumps to your side with a joyful snap.
