Stiler, I, I...just can't trust Starforce to remove their leftovers properly. What else will they try to do with my computer? What else will they add for future "reference"?
Thanks, but I just "went back" to the time before my computer even knew what a StarForce driver or (Starforce).dll was.
Publishers: stop using these copy-protection products!
Force StarForce and other copy protection companies to do something good and perhaps start developing games themselves instead, since they know so much about junking them up.
StarForce: just get the heck out of a nasty, mean-spirited, troublesome and worthless software niche.
Either fold your wicked little company, or do nice things with your knowledge. You probably have enough government contracts to tide you over, anyway.
P.S. Jenny100, it ain't worth the trouble (sorry, Stiler). Wait for the XBox version. 'course, it'll be a port... [smiley=hair_pull.gif]

Considering that article at Tom's Hardware, I think I'll pass on Starforce games.

Now you can copy it back to the computer you want to play it on. This will eliminate all the protection files you are trying to keep off your computer.

You don't need anything in the register to play the game with a no-cd patch but all registry entries will remain in the computer you first installed it on.

Not necessarily. It depends on the game.
If the folder for the game doesn't have any other dependancies elsewhere on the computer such as installed .dlls in Windows, or .ini files, or registry entries then your idea will probably work.
