Hi all,

Spyglass Guides is a new website dedicated to bringing you the most accurate, complete, and creative guides possible. We try to make our guides fun to read, infusing humor whenever we get the chance. There are plenty of guides that tell you how to get from point A to point B. We want you to enjoy the trip.

We are on the lookout for writers, editors and overall creative people. If you would like to join the fun, drop us an email. No experience necessary, just a passion for the game.

The guides that are on there now are quite impressive.

The way the site is set up, I wonder if they plan on charging for them in the future.

You know, Crapstorm, I almost ended my post with 'Being a little crazy helps'. I think you fit the bill.

There are no plans to charge for the guides at this time. I'm glad you like them.

Another Spyglass contributor here.

Just to reiterate what Tami said - we have no plans to start charging people for unofficial game guides.  It would obviously be naive to think that people would pay money for game guides when free ones are readily available on the web.

Right now our line-up consists of a few pure adventures (Amerzone and Sanitarium), action-adventures (Thief 2 & 3), and 1893 Worlds Fair.   Note that you need to register on the website to access the guides - feel free to put in bogus personal information in the required fields.

At this point we are concentrating on building up a library of well written thorough guides, which is a challenge in itself.  Any feedback on the guides is encouraged.

If you haven't been to the site yet, we'd love for you to come on over and check it out. We think we have the best guides available for free on the net. We want to hear your impressions of them and the site itself.

If there is a specific guide you'd like to see, let us know and we will do our best to provide it.

Once again, Dan and I can't do this alone. If you have any interest in writing, editing, helping with the site itself, or being involved in any way, we'd love to have you.

Just a comment: I think the registration process deters a lot of potential readers, and it also prevents search engine hits. Something to think about.

While the registration process is a little different, I'm not asking for any more information than anyone else. An email address is all that is required. Registering is only slightly painful and I swear, you'll forget all about it once it's over. Then you'll have access to the best guides available.

We also have a PR position available if anyone is interested.

If you'll permit me to use the type of language normally associated with Quentin Tarantino films, I'm quite willing to contribute

Ahhhh, another victim, errr, contributor. No Quentin Tarantino language though. I'll have to wash your mouth out with soap.

Email me and let me know what you are interested in doing. Guide writing, editing, PR, site editor? We have lots to do.

By the way, we're not just looking for adventure guides. We need RPG, strategy, children's games (probably not for you Wolfboy), interactive fiction. You name it.

Lots of you are registering. Let us know what you think, unless it's negative, and then you can keep your opinions to yourselves.
