You have gotten the attention of the mysterious lady. She turns to face you. Her face is devoid of any flesh. You are frozen with horror as she begins ripping your body into a bloody mess.

Status : Offline | I haven't played them all - don't even have a copy of the first two. So I picked "have to finish playing them."
So far though, it's Under a Killing Moon. I don't like anything that ends in a cliffhanger.

(Although I played them when they were first released, so my memory is a bit hazy).
Is Overseer up the same same quality as the other 2 I mentioned (not that there's a hope in hell of finding a copy at the arse end of the software world)

But then, it was my first Tex game, so I had nothing else to compare it to. Instead of having to switch between Movement and Interactive modes, they are combined into one, so your environment takes up the entire screen. If you can get the DVD version to work, you get treated to videos w/ no interlacing.  Or until someone creates a no-interlace patch for the CD version.) The story is great and it's nice to play through Tex's first case w/o the action sequences of Mean Streets.
UAKM seemed short to me. I'm liking PD better.

Now quit talking and get playing the others!

Status : Offline | Way too hard to choose. The only one I haven't played is Mean Streets and that's mainly because I did have a downloaded version at one time, took one look at it and found you had to type every little thing in and deleted it. Now I don't know if that's the same with the original Mean Streets but at the time it was the only way I could get hold of it.
Anyway I love every single one of the others - only played Overseer last year - and have played UAKM and Pandora at least three times. Up there among my favourite games along with the GK series.

| Deleted User | I tried firing up PD again after all these years. I got it running under both vdmsound (XP laptop) and dosbox 0.63 (win2k). Indoor movement is pretty jerky. If I select too big a frame skip then my mouse is too jerky... Not that playable unfortunately (for me anyway). I'm running a 2.8ghz box and a 1.9ghz laptop and all, but I guess I have just got used to ultra smooth movement.
Pity, as the dialog is as great as I remembered.
As a result, I'll pass on the Overseer offer, but thanks anyway lexxy2u.

same for me! Don't have any of the others. I tried again for Pandora Directive last week on ebay, but the price went through the roof again even before I had placed my bid. : Oh well, probably should first play UAKM anyway.

I was always too lazy to try to outbid the person or go back if I was outbid, although usually it would have gone above my limit anyway. Or the auction seemed fishy, if you know what I mean. I like to know what I'm getting. Luckily, I found a user on another forum that had an extra copy. Sure, the jewelcase doesn't close all the way, but for $10 (including shipping), I'm actually playing the game instead of checking out the newest auctions.

All you have to type in are names of characters, four-digit navcodes, and the occasional subject (all of which are mentioned in the manual). It's nothing like, King's Quest, for example.

Jep, I know. This was an auction that only sold the jewel case with the cds, not the big box in which they came. I thought that would at least scare off most collectors. No such luck! I always determine beforehand a maximum price I want to pay for a game on ebay, so that I don't get swept up in bidding wars and eventually end up paying much more than I originally wanted to spend. Let's just say that, in this case, my maximum price was already passed when I wanted to put down my initial bid. Maybe my price for this one should have been more realistic then.
