That said, I know this idea sounds totally implausible, but through directed marketing it might reach a large enough audience to pay off for its costs.
I think a FMV adventure game should be made based on the cable TV series, "The Dead Zone" (on the USA network). The sheer number of creative juices that the developers could put into a game like that is staggering. If you don't know what the TV series is, I urge you to watch an episode. It's about a man who can see the truth about the past or possible future events by touching objects. Knowing what he knows, it's his job to save people who are in danger. I think it would be the perfect FMV-based adventure game because of the cinematic quality of the series (watch one episode, you'll see what I mean), the unique style of adventure you give to the game player, and also because of the enormous freedom the game's designers will be given to create unique and interesting puzzles. When the main character receives his visions about the future, for example, they usually are metaphysical, and because of this they sometimes come out as riddles.
I don't want to sound aggrandizing, but I thought I'd share my idea if anyone has heard about it or mentions it to any other game developers who might be interested in it.
