Hi there,
I just wanted to introduce myself. Well, my real name is Martin but my friends (and we are all friends aren't we?
) call me Marteng. I'm from Thuringia, a german federal state, which is called „the green heart of Germany“.
I decided to register at an english forum in order to improve my despicable english So feel free to correct me, but be aware, it'll be a full time job.

Welcome, Marteng!  So far, so good with your English.  I've tried navigating a couple of German sites and found myself getting lost very easily, so I admire you for making the effort.  We do have many members here whose first language isn't English, so don't be shy about making mistakes.
Some whose first language is English don't do as well.)

Well...I've only been lurking a week or two..ahhem maybe I should start over...

Hello, My name is Nefret and I am a lurker?...all this just so I can send a message to SOMEONE who I hope appreciates the fact that I have resigned my lurker status just for her and can no longer number myself among the ranks of the lurkees?   perhaps when I am old and grey I will tell my great grand children that I once lurked around with the best of em (whoever em are) :

Hello, Nefret, and [img]http://bestsmileys.com/welcome/17.gif[/img] to JA!  It's good to see you here.  Now that you're no longer a lurker, please stop by often.  We're a diverse group and more than a little strange sometimes, but most of us don't bite.

Hello everyone.  I guess I could be considered a lurker as well.  For the last year or so I have visited JA to mostly read reviews and get caught up on new game info.  However, I have finally discovered the forum section of this site and loved it!  I am strictly an adventure gamer as I have never, not even the slightest bit enjoyed a FPS or the like type game so I find I feel quite at home here

G'day Carla

It must be at least two years since you were here.  A lot of the chaps you remember aren't here anymore - probably left because you did.....

Hello Caroline!  [smiley=wave.gif] Gosh, that long. It's really nice to see you again!  How are you? And what are you playing now?

A lot of the chaps you remember aren't here anymore - probably left because you did.....

[smiley=lol.gif] Guys who left the forum are probably the ones who DIDN'T see my pic (I should do some photoshop magic on it, or post a new one

I've been reading here and there, and noticed very "ex members" tags. Agus, Dom, SirDave, InlandAZ, Andromus, Lucien, Aya, Val, Eva, Alkis, Elfstone are still here, that's great (sorry if I missed someone...). And there are lots of new members [smiley=clap.gif]
I've also read about Anne, it was shocking and sad to know. It must have been hard for all.

Whatchya been upto?

Moving a lot, working here and there, with very little time to read, post or even lurk. Not to mention play! Now that I'm settled again, I'll try to catch up with all these delicious activities.
And, as you can see, my English is still as bad as usual...

BTW, when I re-signed in, a message warned me about some deleted PM's (there's a limit, of course), so I apologize to everyone who wrote and never got an answer (in my defense, I'll argue I never got to read the message).

Don't believe all those ex-member tags.  We had a forum shut down at the beginning of the year that lasted a month and a lot of us had to rejoin but our old posts are tagged ex-member.

Last I heard from Dom he was dating and busy touring the country in rep.

Inland and SirDave, Lucien, Andromous, Alkis (now married), Elfstone and Aya are here.  Val is forbidden by law from leaving and Eva looks in now and then.  Agustin also pokes his head in occasionally.

Others you might remember, Petter, Monkeybone, Friday and MichalN are all gone.

I'm playing at being a university student so my game playing is kind of erratic.  Currently lost in Aura 2.

I started it but had to stop for my exams and then I went on a long overseas holiday.  I'm back now and want to get back into it.  It's a very different game to Aura 1 but it's still enjoyable.... at least I'm enjoying it.

I hope you like the game.  There's no buggy control problems to irritate you.

I'm studying for a Batchelor of Arts in Communication: Professional and Creative Writing.

So far it's been fabulous fun hanging out with all sorts of smart and interesting people.

And if you scroll down the page into Off Topic you'll see I've posted some holiday photos of my time in England and Avatar has been off to Africa for a month and posted her photos.   Plenty to look at.

Hey, all. I'm the person known as Giligan on the Adventure Gamer forums. After someone started a thread on this forum over there, I decided to register. I had registered earlier, but I can't find my old password, and I'm not sure which email address I used.

Hi!
I'm Jelena, a 42 y/o adventure gamer from Sweden. I've been a member at Adventure Gamers for  a couple of years now and thought I'd check this forum out as well.
I love all kinds of adventure games: scary ones as well as games with a Noir-theme.
I also love to read and watch Star Trek episodes. No wonder my family thinks I'm a geek.

Temporary guest in your life.

Hello people of JA! I'm known as BP for short and my name is Pierre (not French!).

I'm a regular on the Abandonia and Abandonia Reloaded boards, I'm sure some of you know what I'm talking about here. Anyways, I'm a gamer, and I especially enjoy classic titles from years past, definitely including adventure.
