I've never posted on a forum in my life but after playing this miserable game I'm feeling the need to post something somewhere.  Bad navigation, annoying noises, confusing clues. It left me feeling a lot like I did after dodgeball in elementary school. What was the point? Abused for no good reason. I ended up dowloading a walkthrough and printing it so I didn't have to take a million notes. One example: you have to open a door using a code everytime you open it. Tedious. I won't be loaning this game to anyone. I love my friends and family too much.  On a positibve note: Found The Longest Journey at a Circuit City in Georgia. Loved it. Loved it. Loved it.  Anyone who borrows it will have to leave a very large deposit.

I played the first one and liked it.

From what I've read, the second isn't as good.

If I see it for $10 dollars - I may give it a whirl then.

The first dark fall wasn't too bad,  I give it a 4.5; but as for the second one, I give it a 2.0; it was not worth the time or money. Gotta learn to check these things out first >

You guys are bummin' me out. I loved Dark Fall II: Lights Out!. It had ominous noises (scary!), creepy, dark hallways (scary!), ghosts in the past, present and future (scary!), and wonderful little quirky touches that I adored.

Like the disembodied hand model, the sudden, but brief movements of supposedly inanimate objects; the watchful eye of the DEOS ship hall monitors...

There are ways to get around re-entering the code to enter the front door of the year 2004 lighthouse "attraction", by the way. "Goggle" it.

It's a game one must explore with intensity. It has a wonderful eerie, scary, historical story, and brilliant music and sound design.

It's a keeper for me, and I'm from Georgia, too. :-*

P.S. I'll loan my The Longest Journey to whomever you can trust to not scratch the discs and return it in good condition, my Georgia neighbor. I'm not that keen on TLJ, so feel free to ask!

Please proofread your posts carefully to see if you any words out.

I thought it was a great game.  I was really immersed in the storyline.  I though J.B. did a great job.

I would agree that the second one isn't as good as the first.  Unfortunately, I had aslo read a review that contained what amounted to a HUGE spoiler.

Spoiler:
The box stated that you would explore different times.  This could be translated to  psychic means, playing other characters, or stepping through mysterious portals as far as I was concerned.  But the review I read said it wasn't really a hooror game, its a sci-fi game.  Right there, it became obvious there was a time machine and all nothing to be 'scared' about...ruining the whole experience for me.

...so storywise, I never got caught up in it.  Graphically, lengthwise, and the number of objects to interact with are far superior to the 1st Darkfall, but there just didn't seem to be a lot to do gamewise for the player as far as solving puzzles.  It came off to me as more of a story that I was unraveling.

LittleOldLady - Have you played any other 1st person AGs that you liked?  Maybe 3rd person (like TLJ) is more your style.
